KS Voice Acting? Narrations?

It has been a long time since I have updated this thread. Most of the others I had collected from here onto skype, are hard to reach now, between life and their other hobbies. I have not rehearsed or anything, not really, mainly jokingly reading it aloud with people. I want to do this, but it feels like either I am not putting enough into it, to bring it up to the gang again. Some people I have not contacted in over a month or so. In conclusion, I have mixed feelings about the project.

On the other hand, the others are not coming to me about it. Everyone probably thinks this is dead, and it may as well be right now.. but, you never know, someone else might be really excited to come along, or something. Probably, this is my fault, for not sticking to it enough.

Dunno if anyone here has seen it, but there's a newer, more active project in the vein of Katawa Seiyuu, called Let's Dub, which covers lots of things. They relatively recently started on KS.

I've been keeping up with Tyranee's Let's Dub Katawa Shoujo and I'm extremely disappointed. Most of the voice acting work is just plain bad, and then the voices don't really fit a lot of the characters (Like Misha and Lilly) Overall, 2/10 not impressed.

Fortport, I don't get on Skype much but whenever you're ready to get a group of us together to either chat or figure out how we're gonna do things just PM me here to let me know when it's going down and I'll do my best to be there.

They do a lot better job of sticking to the text than Katawa Seiyuu ever did, and I think most of the voices fit better too. They could use some better help in the editing department, but hey. As long as they keep going and don't crap out like Seyiuu did, a finish is a win.

Just a thought, but, what if I showed them my Kenji? Do they have on already? Is he good?

Because every person I have let hear my Kenji impression, they say it's great, and much better than my Hisao voice. I would love to participate, y'know.

They do have one; check him out in the link. I think he's pretty good. No clue what their membership/casting process is.

Fortport, you already know that I think your Kenji is amazing; leagues better than Let's Dub's Kenji.
The only voice that's A-One 100% spot on IMO is Hisao, but that's just the voice. The actual VA work going into the whole project feels like dry reads of the lines. They're constantly mispronouncing words, leaving out bits, changing bits. It's really disgraceful to the entire Let's Dub project. The only VA work I'm impressed with so far is Rin's. It's completely different than I imagined Rin's voice, but somehow it's perfect.

It's really strange for me to dislike a Let's Dub this much, normally they do at least a decent job
