I went for Hanako being enough of a chess scholar to use a chess game from 1950 to break up with Hisao, essentially, in a fic I did.

The entire chess game. And then some, because Hisao really is one stubborn dumbass. :lol:

Well, that wasn't necessarily her entire goal, you see, but it's what happened.

Fuck it, here's the fic, here's the chapter in which the chess game happens in. I'm not satisfied with how I ended my own story, though, really...
