And lately /b/ has more waifu threads (filled with my lovely Hanako) than pony threads in /mlp/, so I can see where the attention came from.
/mlp/ is just. Pure madness.

Anyway, as long as the new attention means new art, it can be allowed to continue...Even on Reddit...
I love the interpretation of Pac-Man where he's a just a lowly worker retrieving golf balls left all over the course by the rich masters and the ghosts are all previous workers who got conked on the head and killed by incoming golf balls in the line of duty.

I was kind of talking about us, actually. And since when is being a fan of Batman equivalent to being a fan of what is often called cripple porn in terms of persecution?Potato wrote:Every fandom of anything ever because no fandom is unique or special or persecuted any moreso than any other despite MLP fans comparing their "struggle" to racism and coming out of the closet?SpunkySix wrote:Almost reminds me of another fandom they do that to...

It's not about what you like. It's how you express your feelings on that subject.SpunkySix wrote:I was kind of talking about us, actually. And since when is being a fan of Batman equivalent to being a fan of what is often called cripple porn in terms of persecution?
All fandoms have cool people, creeps, geeks, spazzes, etc. It's impossible to generalize an entire fandom, just like it's impossible to generalize an entire race of people.

This being the random thread…KeiichiO wrote:It's impossible to generalize an entire fandom, just like it's impossible to generalize an entire race of people.
You can militarise a whole race of people. Then promote them all to the top! That would mean you've generalised all of them! Hahahaha! (Or maybe, just marshalled them together.) The opposite would be privatisation, I suppose.
Post-Yamaku, what happens? After The Dream is a mosaic that follows everyone to the (sometimes) bitter end.

All fandoms are full of creepy weirdos (tumblr is really into the bad guy from The Lorax...) by the very nature of being fandoms. And the creepy weirdos are always the loudest...Especially when they insist on making documentaries about themselves and how wonderful they are like a bunch of entitled self-important douches.
KS' fandom is unique, however, in that everyone in it is a creepy weirdo by virtue of being into gross cripple porn. That's just nasty.

Of course, but certain fandoms come with much heavier stigmas than others. Spiderman has creepy fans, but nobody will bat an eyelash if you say that you like Spiderman. Say that you like KS, however...KeiichiO wrote:It's not about what you like. It's how you express your feelings on that subject.SpunkySix wrote:I was kind of talking about us, actually. That one thing made my night, haha.
I would just guess it's human nature to put people into categories.
Things that are more "socially acceptable" go by unnoticed while something that can be viewed as Abnormal is quick to be criticized.

Playing: Sniper Ghost Warrior 2; Far Cry 3; Dragon's Crown
Cat: "Where are you going?" Alice: "Which way should I go?"
Cat: "That depends on where you are going." Alice: "I don’t know."

Re: Random KS Discussion
I've been thinking about drawing more recently, both of my parents were artists, and I was an utter failure at art in both Middle and Elementary (1-8th years) to the point where I got the teacher to agree to let me draw the last or the current project in my last year at elementary (5th year). So I'm going to try to practice a bit more every day at both colouring and just sketches, trying to fill a page each day. So, of course, I started drawing a person, started at the shoes, up the legs, drew a shirt, and I ended up with a ghostly version of Shizune. D*mn it. Started on a table then drew a tea set and just sat back and closed my eyes. I also drew hands, legs, etc, but my mind kept autocorrecting anything I drew into something KS related if it could. (Emi's stockings, the courtyard's tree, and Shizune's glasses, Emi's perv face all came up. I'm also halfway through Hanako's hat) Funny how the mind works like that. Started drawing Lilly but stopped myself since the body started as a guy, so there were abs/pecs (easier to place arms and legs for me if I draw muscular features) rather than a girl. This isn't going away, is it?

Just keep drawing, pretty much And you should post them on the forums (if we can have a John Travolta/Misha on the fan art, as well as allowing any of my stuff on there, then I doubt there's a problem! Re: Random KS Discussion
Hehe, I appreciate the encouragement, but nope. I'm keeping the drawing board to myself until I get marginally better, and when I can draw hair. Pervy Emi looks like a cancer patient with an eye surgery from H.P. Lovecraft. Kinda funny, actually. never had a problem with eyes or fists, it's shoes and hands that put me off. Of course, feet are also an issue, but only barely.AaronIsCrunchy wrote: Just keep drawing, pretty much And you should post them on the forums (if we can have a John Travolta/Misha on the fan art, as well as allowing any of my stuff on there, then I doubt there's a problem! Re: Random KS Discussion
Considering how awful some of the shimmie art gets, that's hardly a deal breaker for this fandom. Just put it under the "wtf" tag or say Konflikti drew it.Broomhead wrote:Pervy Emi looks like a cancer patient with an eye surgery from H.P. Lovecraft.
