Happy Birthday Katawa Shoujo!

Post by pandaphil »

Dunno if anyone noticed, but our favorite VN was released January 4th, 2012. Making KS two years old tomorrow!

So Happy Birthday! :D

I'll drink to that!

Here's to KS, the characters that have captured both our minds and hearts ... and those thrice-accursed, yet also welcome, feels.

Guess I'm not going to get my fanfic done in time, then. Oh well, maybe for Lilly's birthday…

Happy birthday, KS!

Happy birthday, Katawa Shoujo!

Two years later, KS is still my favourite game and probably favourite story. It introduced me to visual novels - I've played quite a bunch since Katawa Shoujo, but not a single one has come close to the emotional impact Katawa Shoujo's routes had upon me.

Truthfully, it was a life-changing experience and, once again, I thank the dev team for it.

You know I just saw Citizen Kane for the first time a few days ago, and when I saw that scene, my reaction was "Oh, so THATS where that gif comes from."

Oh, and of course,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATAWA SHOUJO!

Happy Birthday, Katawa Shoujo!
Everyone hides who they are at least some of their time. Sometimes you bury that part of yourself so deeply that you have to be reminded it's there at all. And sometimes you just want to forget who you are all together.

My face upon realizing I almost missed Katawa Shoujo's second birthday.

KS was my first VN and even though I haven't read many afterwards, KS opened a new genre for me to love.

I hear that!
Katawa Shoujo was, for me, the beginning of an era. An era rife with feels, questions to myself and the alarming thought that me losing an arm "wouldn't be that bad".
God bless you, 4LS, for making me secretly kinda want some freak accident to rip my left forearm off, even though I consciously know I would be better off with my limbs intact.
God bless you.
Like stupid, silly doodles with no point? You've come to the right place, friend :^)
I also occasionally write oneshots. Why not have a skimread?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I love the interpretation of Pac-Man where he's a just a lowly worker retrieving golf balls left all over the course by the rich masters and the ghosts are all previous workers who got conked on the head and killed by incoming golf balls in the line of duty.
