The wrong reaction to a grave mistake.
Somethings been bugging me since the first time I watched Emi's route.
Did they use the wrong Emi sprite for her reaction to Hisao's 'take it to your grave' zinger?
This is, as we know, what we get:
And lets be honest it looks like she's smiling or being cheeky. Several let's plays that I've watched all comment it doesn't look right.
Meanwhile this is from the "english results" scene in Lilly's route:
Now to me that's what angry looks like, and yet she's only messing about there. And I don't think you see that sprite anywhere else.
What gives?
Incidently, that scene is great - the whole 'death is coming for me' bit, Lilly and Hanako smiling, a rare appearance of the Rin Grin, Generic Happy Music kicking in. It makes me smile.

Funny timing - I'm currently being hunted by that face expression whenever I close my eyes.
No, seriously - I'm currently during my first readthrough of Emi's route and have recently read that part; I think her facial expression fits pefectly.
This expression looks to me like this cruel/devestated/cynical expression. Kind of hard to put into words. If I had to choose a sentence that I can imagine someone with this expression saying, it'd be something like "so that's who you really are", as the speaker's thoughts of that someone turn from those of admiration or love to deep anger or hatred.
It feels sort of... betrayed, I think.
I was filled with chills at my back in that moment... And I meant what I said at the beggining - I do occasionaly remember it in random moments of the day and it feels like a knife to the heart
I hope it makes sense.
It's just that I have already saw a similar expression IRL before, and it instantly brought up awful connotations - but it was hard to put these connotations into words.

That one day was a good one.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I agree.FeroxAnima wrote:Funny timing - I'm currently being hunted by that face expression whenever I close my eyes.

Basically the first picture: Emi is so ridiculously pissed off, she's calm.
Medically speaking, it's not when someone is 'red faced with rage' (second picture) that you want to worry about them. This is a sign that their adrenaline rush is fading. It's the short period beforehand when their face goes white and their skin goes cold, and they appear calm (1st picture)—that's when the adrenaline has just hit their bloodstream, blood has been diverted away from their skin to their muscles, and they are literally ready and primed to kill.
I write take a look, would you kindly?

Everyone hides who they are at least some of their time. Sometimes you bury that part of yourself so deeply that you have to be reminded it's there at all. And sometimes you just want to forget who you are all together.

A grave mistake...Ha.
Really though, the worst thing about it is just that it looks like she's about to ask for anal again. I'm more concerned about why nobody caught that over at 4LS.

Topic over.
Routes: Lilly=Hanako=Shizune>Emi>Rin
Girls: Shizune=Lilly=Hanako>Emi>Rin=Misha
So many people cheering on Hisao cheating with Misha....To cheat on popular people is horrendous. To cheat on unpopular people is harmless?

Is this now a crazy anime redheads thread?
