Ha ha... My wife said the same thing. I may need to fix that. Drawing burn scars convincingly is kinda hard.

Camoufrage, that's precisely why I haven't been around. I felt like I wanted to have something to show when I came back, and not just hang around here milking people for comments. (That, and I haven't gotten back to running since my knee injury. But last night I finally broke down and bought running shoes, so...)

It's been really slow, partly because of work and other RL commitments, and partly because writing the script is taking me a lot longer than I thought it would (this is one of my personal shortcomings I discovered in art school; without a hard deadline imposed upon me, I move at a snail's pace). Also, I've redone the next page a couple of times for various reasons: I forgot that Hisao lived in a house, not an apartment complex, so I had to scrap that drawing; and for some reason I couldn't get Hanako and Hisao to look right - Hisao kept looking too beefy, and Hanako...just didn't feel right to me.

Having said that, I'm pretty happy with the script (I'm about fifteen pages in, I think, with a rough outline for the entire story completed), so it's just a matter of forcing myself to sit down and work through the first page. After that, I feel like it's going to be a bit easier going.

Hopefully I'll have something new to show everybody pretty soon.

I have a little question regarding the time the story starts: Does it hook up directly on the good-ending in the VN or is there a time jump? This matter always makes me curious.^^

There is a brief time jump. The story takes place over the Obon holiday, in early August.

Looks interesting I must say. Hanako is a decent character, but I must say that I'm slightly annoyed that she seems to overshadow every other character. I mean, I understand why people love her, but to me she seems a bit...overrated. Give the other girls the attention they deserve! D:

I hear what you're saying. My obsession with Hanako has only grown since getting 100% completion, and so I felt like I wanted to do this story to 'exorcise' some of those feelings.

But in my more ambitious moments, I've contemplated the possibility of doing another doujinshi after this one, building on Hisao x Emi. If I do that story, it will feature all of the girls, since it will take place at Yamaku.

I'm hoping so. My wife keeps bugging me to work on it, which is a good thing, considering how much I've been dragging my feet on it. As much fun as it is to have something with which to celebrate Hanako's birthday, I think it would be better if I didn't only do a page a year.
