I wouldn't go as far as saying "better", but I think it'd broaden the audience and visibility by a fair amount. Some people are put out by the sex scenes.

I really beg to differ. The "Katawa Shoujo is not a Cripple-Porn simulator" argument has been brought up again and again. Anyone who simply isn't able to handle it, even with the option to block out the core of the explicit content, is, in my opinion, not emotionally mature enough for a game like Katawa Shoujo; it's very largely about an emotional relationship with the characters (and I'm not saying people who aren't getting feels over their favourite character are emotionally immature, some people just don't get as caught up in the whole thing) and, in a very well-crafted and emotionally-deep story, an intimate relationship that takes up a fraction of the story is an addition that I would even go so far as to call essential.

Not sure if I came across completely coherently there. If I didn't, the gist is that I think KS struck the proper balance with the intimacy, and any more or less would only make it worse.

You're hardly the first one who had that expectation, but would you really have wanted a footjob (which would have probably come across as blatant pandering) in the middle of Hisao's and Rin's emotionally-laden second H-scene?

IMO, KS might being much better received if they didn't have H-scene. People is very sensitive about sex with disabled even you try to say that the attitude are, in fact, "dsable" them, and I think people might take it better if 4LS take scene with naked girl out along with H-scene and alter few scene to make story less relevant to played H-scene if one choosed to disable adult content. IMHO, 4LS should do this as patch as I simply hate to see "v 1.0" for a game that released for almost a year along with the fact that I didn't meet april fool day's girls and the gallery picture when you get 100% completion is subpar at best They can also add Miki route for Miki fanboy. With such a good fanbase. 4LS may not have to write anything at all. They can just hold a faanfic competition that it's prize is their's stories is included in 1.(whatever) patch and their name is being included as extra writer of KS.

I think people might take it better if 4LS take scene with naked girl out along with H-scene and alter few scene to make story less relevant to played H-scene if one choosed to disable adult content.

I'm really not sure how Hanako's good end arc and Shizune's bad end arc could be easily modified to make sense without the corresponding H-scene. Nor am I sure it'd be an improvement over what's in the game now.

All of those things are about as unlikely as Rin giving Hisao a hand job. Adding another route could easily take another year and the team already said KS is finished. There is no "true ending", nor does the game really need one. And offering fan-fic writers an opportunity to get their story into the game wouldn't save 4LS any work...it'd just add a massive amount of it since routes still need sprites, CG art and scripting. Not gonna happen.

It's an extension of the creeping trend that Rin's "destroying" herself. Through smoking, through sleep and food deprivation and then through masturbation. It's not an illogical pattern. Hisao, at that point, realizes that it's too late in trying to yank her out of it and he might as well help her get off and maybe get some inspiration back.

Being a H doesn't make you better fit to appreciate the story, but watching the adult scenes does since they're part of the story. Someone who watches 100% of the story is always better fit to appreciate the story than someone who watches 95% of it. And sex is part of the stories.
