what charity is best?

Post by kslover »

Since i do have a massive respect for this game and what exactly the developers are trying to do i do wish to give in some way. now while they themselves deny donations to directly fund this gob smacking project they did suggest we give to charities as they need it more. so in a rather philanthropic decision i have decided to donate to a charity but which one would be best in the developers eyes. one would be forced to assume that a charity in regards to a physical disability probably having to do with the characters would be the best but would one for the blind, deaf, mute, amputees, or one for burn victims. or is there one that you recommend that would cover all the bases?

try http://www.charitynavigator.org/ if devs don't have special requests.
you want to find one with high program expense %, higher program expense % means more money goes to programs rather than administration or fund raising.

Yeah I think an official word from the devs on this would be nice - I'll chip in something, for such a fantastic game.

Huum, we haven't really looked into what kinds of charities there are available. Obviously, one that aims for better education for disabled children would be very appropriate. Maybe we'll do a bit of research and get back on this.

<Suriko> I would do it if it wouldn't be so hard to explain to my parents

I just did a quick Google, and there's this school for disabled children in England. Maybe if any potential donaters are British, they'd like to donate to a British school or charity. This place is apparently both, being a school and a registered charity.

Call me selfish, but if I were to pick a charaity it would be either MS related or possibly something about disabled/abused children...

But yeah that's not for reasons behind the game; these are just my personal charities...

Adopt-A-Minefield (http://www.landmines.org.uk/)
It has the best name, at least.

I can agree with this since landmines are designed to cause disability.

ive got a good suggestion even if i do say so myself The Shrine charity assists both burned children and those that need prosthetic limbs so that covers 2 girls 2/5ths isnt that bad in the grand scope of things and 90% of all donations go toward the charity
