MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display Issue

Hi, I tried playing Katawa Shoujo on my MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display, but it is having some sort of display issue. The game is being resized in the window to only fit the upper left of it. However, all the buttons (i.e. Start), are still registered as being in their respective area in the game window.

Also when running the game itself, it seems to be very choppy, with the text appearing in parts, and the animations are not very smooth.

Anyone know how to fix this?

UPDATE:
I've found that using the "Open at Low Resolution" seems to fix all the problems. It would be nice if this game could be supported on Retina Displays, though this is probably an issue with the Ren'Py engine.
