The soft, super-cutesy style of the picture being used to depict a scarred girl makes for a contrast that works pretty well. I find it interesting that she's shown hiding her face behind a book yet there's not the slightest hint of her usual anxiety on her expression. It seems that she's just doing so out of habit, or even playfully.
reminds me very very much of a certain person's artstyle... i think he did some of the art of Katawa Shoujo but i cant put my finger on his name...
anyhow, awesome job. cute to the point i want to make it my ipod wallpaper but feel like i would stare at it for an hour before actually using my ipod.
