Wow that's pretty awesome. From what i know from japan's culture, artists who became professional are not often happy when reminded of their pre-professional work. those compliments are something to treasure, 4LS!

Would someone mind giving a bit more context here? I see Raita originally worked on KS. Was there some kind of dispute?

Raita drew the original concept sketch back in 2001(?) that the game idea came from. "Katawa Shoujo" is the title of it. He wasn't one of the devs for the project. He is a professional videogame dev now, as far as I know.

Raita drew that about 11 years ago (uncolored, and in Japanese). The rest, as they say, is meticulously recorded pretty much everywhere else KS is discussed, so I won't bother repeating it here.

I see. I saw he had some importance in earlier parts of development, but wasn't sure how. Thank ya ProfAllister and Walrusfella for setting me straight. I'm glad he came out and said something. Those who worked on the project really did an incredible job with it.

I wasn't aware it was such a prominent part of the game's history until now though.

Makes you wonder if Raita woud had gotten a team to work on KS back in 2001.
