Well, I was out earlier today, and while listening to my music this song came on. I instantly thought that this is the perfect song for Hanako:

Basically if I like a song I'll listen to it, no matter the genre or artist.
But the kind of music I like the most is:
Metal/speed metal, heavy rock, retro game music, and music from the 80's.

Misha probably listens to girly pop all the time, Lilly probably likes classic music, I can picture Hanako listening to old 80's love ballads, we all know Rin listents to really weird stuff
As for the other girls ... I have no idea....

hmmm it just occured to me that Rin may have some difficulties using ear phones, therefore she must use head phones and I have a legitimate excuse to draw her wearing bunny ear headphones =3

I never have been able to define my music tastes.

It's easier for me to eliminate a few genres than try to list the ones I enjoy. Country is either sickeningly upbeat or depressingly sad, and rap just grates on my ears most of the time. I can't say I completely avoid either genre, though.

If I'm defined by music I buy, then I guess heavy metal, grunge rock and alternative would top the list, but that would be unfair to the vast majority music in my library. I'm a sucker for soundtracks and other nostalgic pieces, and I'm fond of heavily lyrical music and story-telling songs.

As for the ladies in the game - the only one I'm sure of enough to guess is Hanako. I actually doubt she's into heavy metal as much as many have proposed since it's really not the best kind of music to read to. I could certainly see her having it in her fictional mp3 player, but I'd suspect more subdued genres like jazz, soft rock and ambient titles to be in heavy rotation.

I've always seen Hanako as having tastes in the Linkin Park sort of area, of the ilk of Minutes to Midnight, with Lilly being a soft jazz girl who also has a taste for the earlier end of Romantic pieces. Emi I see more as being into accessible rock, things like The Killers and Bon Jovi; Misha would have wide tastes from Pop to Southern Rock to Country...

Rin is harder to place, though probably some sort of electronic music. Trance or ambient, maybe, and perhaps a little prog.

I don't see any of the main 6 girls liking rap, with the possible exception of Hanako; the thought of her listening to gangsta rap is quite endearing ^^

I think both Rin and Hanako would love this.
I think Katawa Shoujo Air Guitar soundtrack and this song are so similar in musical structure that I think the musician might have actually inspired Air Guitar out of this piece :d

That's why I would love to talk to one of the two musicians of Katawa Shoujo, but I cannot find them online, there are so many things that I wish to ask them!
