Re: Why does it seems like no one understands Rin?
Yes. Never forget, Rin is the Sky. I posed the preceeding 'riddle' to a good (and very smart) friend of mine IRL when she posted a picture of clear blue skies and she immediately fired back: "Ah, that's every individual person." So yeah, I'd say we're all the sky in the end. :P Now combin...

Re: Why does it seems like no one understands Rin?
Or, considering Aura (Rin's writer) pretty much said a lot of her was pulled from random 4chan and internet patterns, I could be seriously overthinking this as usual. Either way, this explanation makes sense to me why I both can and can't understand Rin just fine. Can you point me to where this was...

Re: Why does it seems like no one understands Rin?
Well...quite simply put, the more one's life is akin to the person they are trying to understand, the easier time they have understanding them. Rin's life consisted of looking at things strictly from her own point of view and never from that of others and not necessarily because she'd want it that w...

I'm not mad. Just frustrated with communication on the internet, but that's aight - it happens. And you've clarified yourself too so...it's all good. *nod*wazuzu wrote:Don't get mad. I wrote it not for you, but for those, who find her promiscuous. But yet again, I worded it so bad, lol.

Re: Cheating and KS.
Alright, I'm editing the Emi line to plain old boring because this is just ridiculous. What I posted in the hopes of coming across as mocking the 'Emi is a slut' people (which should be readily apparent if one just reads onwards as to what I really think of Emi but...apparently somehow that doesn't ...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
I've been relaying all of the feedback to my friend as well. She's come to the conclusion that she might want to hear all the arcs again. I mentioned that she had a nasty cold last week, and she thinks that may have colored her feelings on the Rin and Lilly arcs especially. Oddly, or perhaps not so...

Re: Cheating and KS.
That's actually something Hisao made up himself, most likely due to him being bitter and depressed. The doctor told him he would probably live much longer than most people with heart conditions. I'm also going to have to disagree with Emi cheating. Emi isn't one to go behind people's backs. She doe...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Virgin heroine?
Having high hopes about something is only asking for pain, and the sentiment of desiring women to be chaste before the MC's intervention behind it is something that should have been known to be considered despicable and is probably what doomed the OP, moreso than the wording, at least. There are on...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Virgin heroine?
*facedesk* And I had such high hopes for this topic after weeks of it going remarkably well. No such luck I guess. I suppose Oddball's statement was right after all. The OP was poorly worded to begin with and it doesn't take much for people to go up in arms about it afterwards.

Re: The "feels" bazaar.
Honestly, I can much more easily imagine Rin being an Elcor considering how she fails to convey her emotions well enough most of the time.MegaMoto wrote:I could easily imagine Shizune being one of those alien things from Mass Effect that always say their emotions.

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
OK, going out on a limb on this one, but it was my impression that it was more about "this is stuff that's been said before, repeatedly, over the course of the arc, and if she's going to drop some wisdom here, it should be new wisdom." But you see...that ties right into my point! If...

Re: Cheating and KS.
Let's stick to the concept of cheating rather than that of breaking up. A fair few couples do cheat on each other, but don't quite break up simply because of it. Turns out emotional attachments are much too strong to completely break with a simple physical act such as having sex. Damage, yes...but n...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
It's funny, because when it comes to 'speechifying' I would honestly put Hisao in Shizune's arc as the greatest offender of that. Seriously, some of the elaborate explanations he gives to Misha, especially in Acts 3 and 4, tend to go far beyond what Lilly does in that scene. And this is in spite of ...
