Re: POLL: First girl you went for

Emi. And I specifically remember that if I hadn't opted for Hisao to keep running on the track, I would've gotten Rin otherwise. That whole choice really is kinda like...I mean, when you're sitting comfortably behind your computer, of course you'll pick "chase after her," but I'm 100% cert...

Re: Ask!

Curiouser and curiouser indeed. I mean, I already knew by and large that my attachment to that scene stemmed from having actually done this during my youth for the exact same purpose Hisao states, but I wasn't exactly certain how much of this feeling came from authorial intent and how much was just ...

Re: Ask!

Ah why the heck not? To Aura, since the last reply really intrigued me, about a scene in Rin's path: Was therefore the Reverse-Escapism scene (where Hisao remembers walking the streets at late night alone and takes Rin for a stroll) just something you happened to hear about from someone else/somethi...

Re: Had a "Hisao moment" over the weekend

I've had this thing happen to me a few times now and I'm still not certain what it is. It happens whenever I overexert my muscles usually, like say lifting VERY heavy things. For some context - I'm fine with lifting something like a chair or table and carrying such things several times around. But i...

Re: Which song moved you the most?

Romance in Andante II in Rin's path. I've seen certain wishes floating about the internet that the scene in which it plays shouldn't have happened the way it did and that only the part that happens afterwards was needed. But for me nothing could be further from the truth. Not only is the song my fav...

Re: What is your story canon?

Hmm...how to put this in a way that will make sense? My personal story canon is Hanako's vanilla good ending (vanilla as in - none of the fanfics or such additions, including anything my own mind might cook up happened later or before it). The reason for this is that, in my mind, it just makes the m...

Re: Rins "problem"

I'd say you could relate to Rin (in regards to her talking in riddles) if you often cannot find the words to properly express yourself or if you keep tripping yourself up whenever you speak. Because underlying her riddletalk is an immense sense of frustration that she can never properly connect with...

Re: Rins "problem"

On top of what you've already listed or what others will also list... ...her 'problem' at its core was that she didn't believe in her own imperfect emotions as being truthful. Instead the only truth she found was in her perfect thoughts. To her the world of ideas was more real than the real world. B...

Re: Rin's Path discussion *spoilers*

I like to imagine that she learns and becomes a chef after her good ending. Granted, this is based on a single by-the-way line spoken by her once, but the more I think about it the more it actually makes sense for her. Rin operating a stove and using knives? what could go wrong She can hold a knife...

Re: Hesitate to go trough it again?

I didn't go through all of it again after completing it, though I did obviously go through my favourite scenes. But 1 month afterwards I devoted myself regularly to a full playthrough with the aim of actually reviewing it and giving back at least something approximating useful feedback. That kinda.....

Re: The most likely to become an emotionally abusive mother?

Notice that Lily is self-aware on this issue AND Hanako is not feeling ok about it herself. Chances are if Hisao didn't show up and Lily doesn't back off, Lily will be the one getting the Bad End. That's the whole thing - knowing about it and being self-aware of it doesn't help one bit, because peo...

Re: The most likely to become an emotionally abusive mother?

Lilly showed her ability to be a good mother in how she took care of Hanako. In my eyes, she is the one person on the list who has already proven themselves. As for the poll itself, I choose 'None of the Above'. *sigh* Yes, she took care of her so well that during Hanako's route she herself even ha...
