I would say that the realistic/gritty style and ambiance of this tale calls for at least some sort of, uh, non-suspension of disbelief. I think i get what you're trying to say but i honestly don't believe it applies here.

I think it's more like both the videos and chapter names are both inspired on the themes rather than the latter being inspired by the former.

But yeah, the thematic foreshadowing in the videos is surprisingly rich.
