Re: What makes a good Visual Novel?

If you are looking for a great Visual Novel without "H" scenes then you should really read True Remembrance It is fairly short but very enjoyable. (If you have not noticed it is one of my favorites maybe even surpassing Katawa Shoujo). (Edit: This was a little off topic but considering the ...

Re: What makes a good Visual Novel?

If you want the god-honest truth, I think most VNs are about the h scenes and thats about it :P But for the few VNs that are not about that, its just like a movie or novel. Good setting, characters, story, etc. Good artwork and writing helps, too. Well I am SOMEWHAT the same as you but I think of ...

What makes a good Visual Novel?

Sorry in advance if this topic was already made but I did not see one like it. Well the title says it all, what makes a good Visual Novel? Is a good Visual Novel all about the setting, characters, plot, romance, attention to detail, art, or the protagonist. Does a VN need an interesting setting like ...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

Before he can sight read anything he'll probably have to learn how to learn music first  In fact sight reading can wait until you can play a few pieces fluently imo We probably have very different definitions of sight reading (Most likely, my definition is just wrong). But for me sight reading ...

Re: Oh man, this replay is gonna be rough....

Again, I only skip the scenes that you have to view with every path. I do remember them clearly, and I feel like it'd get dry if I kept reviewing them for every path. I'll reread them all on my final playthrough. Agreed the story is great and I am currently replaying it but sadly I have not waited ...

Re: Which of the characters would date you?

I would easily choose Lilly, for a few reasons, reason one being she seems to be very mature and mild tempered, two she is blind so no matter how bad I look that day she wont only still like me but wont notice (some days I am to tired to make myself look...presentable), and third she is beautiful. I ...

Re: Oh man, this replay is gonna be rough....

I dont think Ill ever uninstall, except for a reinstall of the OS. Even then, it will be reinstalled once again. I dont have to worry about HD space. 1 TB hard drive. Dont have to delete anything. :) Not many of us will uninstall, but computers do break and things are forgotten and lost, it is a ...

Re: What do you think about voice acting in KS?

I actually prefer to have my own head canon. And at no point while playing KS did I think that voice acting would have added anything. I actually didn't know beforehand that it was normal for VNs to have voice acting, but now that I do, I still don't think my opinion has changed. Very true, even ...

Re: What do you think about voice acting in KS?

I think it would break the game, because it basically destroys the voice that you've imagined for yourself after completing the game. Sure it may be good for people reading the VN for the first time, but it would ruin it for people that have already completed it. An on/off button would be nice ...

Re: Music that makes you think of KS

Starsailor - Tie Up My Hands , reminds me of a lot of feel filled scenes in a lot of the routes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn94brgpM4s That reminds me of when you are with Lilly, Hanako, and Akira in the bar playing billiards. Even though it sounds nothing like the soundtrack they used "Red ...

Re: What is the nicest moment you had in KS

One of my favorite moments was in Shizune's ending when everyone was fishing and both families were just sitting/talking/fishing in harmony. Of course there are so many moments but this was one that was up on my favorite moments list. That is my #1 top moment as well. Pity I lost my save data file ...
