Speculation about rivals...
I was just working on a script for a story of my, and I just realized something about Katawa Shoujo while writing that. There is no competition what so ever for the girls. In an actual school setting, that's just plain unlikely, especially for someone like Lily. There should be all sorts of back ...

Re: What do you do to feel better after a night of the feels
Listen to music, and fall asleep. Or play some Warhammer. There are few things more uplifting than Warhammer. (And by uplifting, I mean ball-crushing adrenaline pumped way, not sappy feel-good way.) On the other hand, I pretty sure I'm the only person who can fall asleep listening to things like ...

Re: Does KS really cause Manly Tears
I really cried after Rin's good ending (Tears of happiness) and once during Hanako's route. Odd for me, because I never cry for a piece of fiction. Just further proof that this visual novel is an absolute masterpiece. If I can ever get close to causing that kind of feelings with one of my stories, I ...

This game does more than give the feels...
I remember a conversation I had with a friend of my long ago. For some reason, we were talking about sadistic choices. And I was asked this question. For some arbitrary reasons, you have a choice. You can be either drive irreversibly blind, or be killed. I remember back then, my answer was, to be ...

Re: Which of the girls would you date in real life?
B) Are you me? I don't think so. Unless you are me when I'm sleeping. Which would explains why I've been so tired lately. However, I was awake when you wrote that. So, that puts a bit of a damper on my theory. Unless, you're my twin that was seperated from me at birth. But I doubt that too. There ...

Re: Which of the girls would you date in real life?
Hmm....I never actually dated anyone, so this should be a fun little mental exercise. GO! Emi- Friend only. I don't like the idea of the whole casual sex thing. I would get invested in the relationship too quickly. But since she doesn't want to get into serious relationships, we could come to a halt ...

Re: Your least favorite thing about your favorite girl?
The fact that Hanako's route was too short. I felt it ended too early. If Hanako feels pissed about being coddled like a child, what about her relationship with Lily? Lily's coming back, we still have that thing to work on!

Re: Katawa Shoujo in Tabletop Roleplaying
Magic beats technology because it cheats. It doesn't have to make any kind of sense. You still need to cast spells. And before that happen, a bullet can travel faster than words 8) No you don't have to cast spells to use. Magic is simply a generic term for strange feats that are not achieve by ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo in Tabletop Roleplaying
Definitely Kenji. Your setting demands him. He is in the Court of Sheogorath, which the party has yet to go to. Anyway, we just started our game today. I spawned Hanako and Lilly. Lilly is calm as ever (well, pretending anyway)...but poor Hanako is being traumatized even further. Deadpool and a OC ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo in Tabletop Roleplaying
Unless you're going to handwave the issue, the language barrier could be a problem. The joy of magic. Everyone can understand each other due to it (except for beings that don't talk, like Tom the Cat [Ignoring the first movie and those fews times he made a one-liners] and accents are kept.) Hmm ...

Katawa Shoujo in Tabletop Roleplaying
I have a group of buddies where we used a homebrew system (Dungeons and Dragons, but simplified) for our virtual table-top games. Right now, our campaign is about fictional characters being sucked of their home universes and sent to this other world. The players are playing as more powerful ...

Re: Proper Reaction to a Negative Reception
I ignore most comments of negatively towards Katawa Shoujo. I can understand why people may not like it. Most of the time, I heard it being boring as the main reason why. I get it. I feel that the game could play out its conflict a bit more in some of its routes. But, for us, it not just about ...

Re: Who Told You About KS?
Tvtropes. I remember reading that and reading how the people were talking about "This is an amazing touching game...and by 4chan of all people!" I thought to myself: "Well, this should be interesting. Doubt it be good through. Plus I don't really like dating visual novels anyway." This is now one of ...
