Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Mendācium)

Yeah, okay. I didn't really like this one. It has the beginnings of a good idea, but it just didn't go far enough. If you want to write a death fic (and at the end of the day, that's really all it is; a death fic), you have to deliver something more punchy than just Hisao wistfully reminiscing about...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Mendācium)

I'm pretty sure that whoever's in charge of that (Sea?) is MIA.

Re: Fanfics - Known Plot vs Plot Discovery?

The thing is, your mileage can vary. I felt like Mean Time to Breakdown was a really opaque title for my story, and the role reversal between Iwanako and Hisao was intended to be a twist, but based on reader responses, everybody who clicked on the link immediately knew what it was going to be about....

Re: Emi Ibarazaki Cosplay

It's the "hero" part that is grating. Stop making a big stink about what doesn't exist. I spoke up because people like you kept insisting that people like me didn't exist. Which you're still doing. The first couple of pages of responses before the OP disappeared have a distinct lascivious...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki Cosplay

I think people here are just trying to play the progressive liberal hero, adressing issues that aren't really there. If they really wanted this topic to die, they wouldn't have posted in it after it went quiet a few days ago. This thread was at the top of the forum when I posted in it, and had been...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki Cosplay

When did I ever imply that you were delicate, lady? Never?? Exactly. There's no way you're so obtuse that you can't see precisely how you implied it. Sorry, I'm not biting. Again, this is the internet. Get the fuck over it. "Yay, this is the internet, and I can't be held responsible for what I...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki Cosplay

Oh, because all girls are delicate flowers that when subject to anything but rainbows and sunshine, they wither away. Also, I believe Spunky said she'd like to come back and continue her cosplaying, so there's no reason to lock this thread just yet. I do agree that some people went a little too far...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki Cosplay

Can we please, please let this thread die? Seriously, message boards are a public space, not a men's space, and sometimes you guys get really complacent in forgetting that there are girls who read these forums too, myself included. I can only speak for myself, but some of the posters in this thread ...

Re: The Bells of Life

You're right it can be spelled either way, but it also can be spelt like Yuto, I originally got his name from a child musical prodigy by the name of Yuto Nakano; a voice actor who voices Bernard in Gunslinger Girl-II Teatrino(One of my personal favorite animes). He's also listed as "Yuuto Naka...

Re: The Bells of Life

I get that Yuto is the name of your D&D character or something, and I'm by no means an expert on this, but even though those syllables do combine to form a Japanese name, I'm like ninety-five percent sure that it should be spelled Yuuto (or maybe Yūto? I'm lousy with diacritics unless it's a wor...
