Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 3/29)

1) I didn't have the benefit of a real Act 1 that would have set up a lot of what I spent the first few scenes of Act 2 setting up Thank your lucky stars that it didn't ! I've been rewriting Act One from the Prologue and it's just http://i.imgur.com/7uwwM7y.gif http://i.imgur.com/7uwwM7y.gif http:/...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

Ooh, I remembered another headcanon that isn't a spoiler for my fic, so I can freely share it here: Until the age of nine or so, Shizune's hair color was pretty much exactly the shade it is in the original colored Raita design . Basically, she was "platinum blue" as a child, the anime equi...

Re: Vision

Would Emi and Rin really have any downsides to having all limbs? Remember that Emi and Hanako stand out from the other three by being the only two girls (other than Miki, who I personally consider a canon love interest after Summer's Clover, but your mileage etc etc) whose disability came later in ...

Re: Blue Haired Girls

I wonder if Shizune is the kind of person you could talk into playing Marvel vs. Capcom. "Shizune and video games" isn't a plot bunny that typically sees a whole lot of exploration. Anyway, Oddball, I have to say, I still haven't read a lot of your stuff, but for me, this is like the quint...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (New art 2/26)

Considering I finally managed to get caught up with this, I'm excited for the next update.

When it comes out, assuming I have time, I'll do a multi-chapter commentary like I generally do for Developments when I find myself sitting on a few hours.

Re: Vision

I hadn't read this story until now, and I really enjoy it. I wasn't entirely sure about the premise at first, but the way you've handled the characterizations and stuff has been excellent--the Saki scene in particular was especially chilling--and I'm really interested to see where this goes. I shoul...

Re: Lost in Translation - A Shizune Prequel

I might be wrong, but don’t most people in Japan bow in greeting? I really can't even begin to articulate how much this criticism aggravates me. It comes up constantly on these boards and it's the most pointless pedantic annoying thing ever. When I was writing the earliest chapters of my fic (Back ...

Re: Lost in Translation - A Shizune Prequel

True, but when an angry-looking girl in her mid-teens pulls the same act, I can imagine a bit of skepticism. I have six piercings on my face and several more on my ears, and I get mistaken for being in my late teens, so it's not like I don't look sketchy as fuck. Also, oh my god, you were actually ...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

I can't imagine Hanako would do very well with some poor kid who had been abused since birth. There was actually a Hanako epilogue written like three or four years ago where Hanako becomes a counselor to abused children. There's a lot I dislike about that fic--for one thing, it is glurgy as fuuuuuu...

Well, the way I characterize it, she attended a school like that up until the end of middle school, but ultimately chose to attend Yamaku for high school because she likes Japan (it's pretty much all she's ever known, barring some short family visits to Pondicherry) and wants to study at a Japanese ...

But he's a very sincere friend... unlike Moriko Kapur, aka 'Molly', who is sharp-witted, highly intelligent and class-conscious, and good at hiding her feelings. I've always thought "Molly" was a nickname for "Malashri," a more traditionally Indian name, and that she's the secon...

Alright. I just did some yoga so I'm feeling sharp. Let's see if I can catch up with all the criticisms I'm known for (not) making. And let me show off the font I just downloaded. Because it is hilariously awful. http://i.imgur.com/Z29gEfS.png Okay, so let's start with some of the metatextual stuff,...
