Re: Recommend a VN

I got Little Busters! the other day, and just got done with my first route, not very many feels, a few here and there, but it was pretty hilarious through most of it, and fun as hell to boot There isn't much of an emotional impact in the first few routes. It comes through as a very high dose in the ...

No, KS is not even remotely utsuge.

^ What he said, and also, do you want VNs like KS, or do you want utsuge? Cause KS is quite the opposite of utsuge.

Re: Recommend a VN

Hmm, Planetarian on the iStore? I'd probably pick it up out of curiousity, if I had an iThing. Speaking of MangaGamer, Muv-Luv was being a pain to install and I needed something to read so I picked up Deardrops, translated by MangaGamer, and it seems to be fairly good so far, both the translation ...

Re: Recommend a VN

That's the level of Japanese people's interest in English, I guess.
Remember Ever17? That needed a fan-made patch to fix up the messes in the official translation.

Re: Recommend a VN

I asked my sister, and she didn't notice it either. The only difference she saw was between characters by the same artist. Why don't you pick one character from each artist and give me a detailed list of what's different? That would help a lot. :? If I knew how to describe people, I would. Drawings ...

That's definitely a first. I've never seen anyone say that their art styles are similar before.

Like I said before, which style is better is a matter of opinion, but the two artists definitely have their own distinct styles.

Re: Recommend a VN

I don't think the art is terrible. :( Remember it was made in 1998/1999. You can't compare it to stuff made today ;) It's not the age that's the problem. It's just that Hinoue Itaru can't draw faces for shit. This is quite obvious from Little Busters, where NA-GA's designs are a lot more pleasant ...

But the art is terrible. It's not like Clannad has very good art either, but Kanon is borderline hideous.

Re: Recommend a VN

What exactly is Clannad? How does it stack up to Katawa Shoujo? From what I've seen of it - which isn't much - it seems like it has Japanese voice acting over the text, is there a way to turn that off? Just like any other Japanese VN, you're only going to have Japanese voice acting. You can turn ...

Re: Did we change?

It moved me emotionally when I first played it, but hey, it's fiction, and I could easily recognize it as such. So it didn't really change me. Well, it made me a huge fan of visual novels, at least. I consider that a good thing. Sort of.
