Re: Questions about the game.

Just saying something that isn't correct and thinking to yourself that it's a joke does nothing to show others it's a joke. Communication is nature's troll, you know. You see, I was making the implication that Mass Effect was a visual novel due to the large importance of the story and decision maki...

Re: Just finished the game, quite depressed.

I recall a quote from a comic i once read "There is no such thing as a perfect someone. Nothing in this world will ever live up to what you feel inside. You just find happiness where you can." That i something everyone has to come to terms with That being said, finding that happiness is no...

Re: Looking for advice on what to do next, both IRL and in g

well you could go for the bad/neutral endings now if you would like, but it really is up to your preference. some say they go for the bad endings first, so they can end on a high note with the good ending. some say go for bad endings last, because the "first" ending for them feels more rea...

Re: Can't get Hanako out of my mind.

i think the true irony here is that mr. sadguest here is the one that didnt learn from Hanako's path because Hanako's path is not about being sensitive to those who have issues, rather its the opposite Hanako's path teaches Hisao not to treat those who have issues or disabilities like they're broken...

Re: Can't get Hanako out of my mind.

Just find yourself a 18-year-old orphan girl, set half her body on fire and viola! You own Hanako! No no, you'd have to set an eight year old girl on fire and kill her parents to get the psychological damage right, and really waiting til she reaches the age of consent assuming she never finds out y...

Re: Can't get Hanako out of my mind.

Just find yourself a 18-year-old orphan girl, set half her body on fire and viola! You own Hanako! But then she wouldn't have the trauma of being bullied, which is Hanako's main thing. I'm never gonna be able to take Emi's route seriously upon replay if I keep picturing that mustache... XD and then...

Re: Can't get Hanako out of my mind.

relax. honestly, when i came to the realization i would never be able to meet Rin in real life, i was quite depressed myself. however soon after you have to realize that you won't meet the Hanako in your life (that's literally impossible) you may be able to meet your Hanako in life. there really is ...

Re: Why are we still here

as for the whole mainstream debate, here's my 2 cents into it. when something becomes "mainstream" it doesn't necessarily become bad. Daft Punk is considered "mainstream" because they are fairly well known but i still like music from Daft Punk (dat Tron:Legacy soundtrack was awes...

Re: What makes a good Visual Novel?

A visual novel is essentially an interactive comic. Comics are called graphic novels for a good reason.

So basically the same as a good manga: plot, characters, story flow, and art, along with the bonus of music and/or voice.

Good h-scenes also if its an h-game.

Which is why i love Monmusu Quest
