Re: Ask!

This game and forum are pretty old so maybe these questions have already been answered before, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere so here it goes. How did you go about forming your dev team? Was it originally one person who had the idea and found friends to help or was it brain-stormed together ...

Re: Digital editions of Beauty and Strangeness & The Soft Ho

Dangerous will likely never get a digital release. It's a special case, stop asking about it. If it ever happens, you'll just get a happy surprise.

Re: Ask!

There's also a question I have been wondering, did you ever planned on continuing on the story of each characters' route for a bonus content? I mean I enjoy the freedom of theory crafting on our own creative minds, but I would also love to see a visual of how they spent their summer timer. No. And ...

Re: Ask!

Of course, we all started from the beginning, and the first things anyone wrote for KS were for Act 1. We used it as a training ground, to learn to write and make a visual novel, so it went through a lot of reworks and editing during the first two years of the project. I did write the first draft of ...

Re: Ask!

It's not important or necessary to have loose ends or unanswered questions. Sometimes it can be detrimental. It all depends on the style and type of the story and of course. execution. An example of an well known unanswered question I like is the one that the movie "Inception" poses during its final ...

Re: Ask!

Was it hard to find members that sticked around for the whole project? I'm guessing a lot of people misjudged the amount of work a VN could take, and not all of them decided to stay. This is specially true if you take into account that you didn't sell the game and that, as far as I know, no money ...

Re: Ask!

How exactly did Four Leaf Studios structure itself when it was making Katawa Shoujo? Asking for a bunch of friends. We divided the work so that everyone had a very clearly defined area of responsibility. So each route was written by a single writer and each character was primarily illustrated by a ...

Re: Ask!

Pretty sure a big reason was because Miki was added very late in development.

Re: Ask!

Not much effort was put into the designs. I made the concepts in maybe 20-30 minutes a piece with no feedback and the first visual designs the artists came up with were also the final ones because actual development for this was pointless.
