Oh boy I'm late. Ended up being significantly more busy than around this same time last year. But there's still snow on the ground, so I guess it could be worse. Anyway, here we are. I don't have a proofreader, so apologies in advance for any silly mistakes.

Re: Sixty Beats Per Minute — 2024 Christmas Special [Part 1/3: "Last Christmas" 24/12/2024]
Sixty Beats Per Minute
Three people.
Three perspectives.
Three Christmases.
One memory which will never fade.
A massive thank you, as always, to Piroska.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
(Sidenote: this is not a Secret Santa!)

Re: Intentions [Completed]
Throughout the whole story, the buildup to what it was going to be like when we finally got Emi's perspective again was strong. I wasn't sure how it could work, but the final chapter delivered excellently. You really stuck the landing on this one, great work.

Re: Intentions
Excellently done! Kept me engaged from the start all the way through so far! Looking forward to whatever comes next!
Not sure how that went.
If anything I wonder how the school could fail to check up on her, after she a) was at the scene when it happened and b) was missing classes and the ...

Re: Shizune's route consensus over 10 years later?
Most of the points I wanted to make have already been made in this thread (or in AuricOrange's wonderful essay). The characters don't go through much growth or are annoying in the first place. The choice you get is poorly framed and feels like a slap in the face. The plot points don't really click ...

Re: Russian pun
Unfortunately this pun is not translatable.
KS-pun.png
But I will still try.
Its Russian classic anecdotes about Russian spy in WW2 Germany -- Stierlitz. Often it has some game of words, like in that one.
Stierlitz was shooting blindly.
The blind(ly) fell like a downed
He killed the downed ...

Re: Secret Santa 2021 - Story collection
First of all, don't blame yourself, I'm still happy you did something for me. And to be fair, you surprised me. I expected, with such a prompt, to read something Hanako-related, but I was surprised, in the good way, to see that I was wrong, and for that, thank you. I'm quite difficult when it ...

Re: Secret Santa 2021 - Story collection
Here's my year-late submission for Razoredge. I don't have a terribly good excuse, I just suck. I bent the rules of the prompt slightly, but it is my hope that I still retained the spirit of it somewhat. I wanted to get it out on Christmas(ish) so I didn't take the time to get it proofread. If ...

Re: Has anyone made an archive for the fanfics?
I just want to know because if there isn't then I wouldn't mind making one
I think a lot of us would appreciate that, myself included.
The best way to archive the fanfics would be to move them to ao3, that site is the most popular fan fiction host today and every year they have a fund ...

Re: Rin Epilogue: The Long Road (Updated 15/3/2021)
As others have mentioned, it's becoming increasingly harder to imagine a happy ending coming from this. Honestly, if I were one of Hisao's friends, I'd probably be encouraging him to try to move on myself. There really is no good, clear resolution to this problem, and the helplessness that pretty ...

Re: Post-PhD, I spent a year writing this 60,000 word KS Essay
This was one hell of a post and thread. I hardly know what to say. In any case, excellent blog post, Citrus. I was quite surprised to find so many people questioning the point of such an analysis in the first place. To criticize the specific points made, especially in light of how many assumptions ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20210215 You And I Both)
... Okay, so apparently people DIDN'T want to start the new year by reading some Oddball. That's fine. I'm okay.
Awww, you deserve better than that. For my part, my online university education has left me quite burned out on reading, analyzing, and responding to text, so I haven't been as ...
