Re: Hanako bad ending discussion
Again, there's a difference between getting mad and flying off the handle. Flipping one's shit is never healthy or "normal". It's at that point when you raise your voice slightly and express yourself in a firm way. Not even after the half dozen or so "go away"s, usually after th...

Re: Hanako bad ending discussion
Obviously, but that's the point. Hanako doesn't know how to deal with emotions or express her feelings. She stopped considering anything and gave into blind rage. Blind rage, while sometimes inevitable against certain stimuli, is almost never objectively okay. One who is emotionally healthy is able...

Re: Hanako bad ending discussion
hehe, objectively excessive reaction. Hey now bro, you can be objectively excessive. If I'm punishing my child, I can be objectively excessive. If I'm telling my friend I don't like something they're doing, I can be objectively excessive. I can guarantee that if you brought in a psychologist, they'...

Re: Ask!
I just wanted to thank Aura for creating the character of Rin. While the character interaction in that section of the game was frustrating for me, I found the character herself to be a wonderfully crafted one. It ultimately helped me to get back in touch with some of my own creativity and emotional...

Re: Hanako bad ending discussion
She doesn't get raped in any route, but that's stuff for another discussion...or maybe past discussion, can't recall exactly. Anyway, the bad endings (except Kenji's end obviously) obviously aren't "the end of all", but most likely the end of the relationships. Same is true for Hanako's b...

Re: Hanako bad ending discussion
The people who believe Hanako's reaction was excessive remind me of Hisao in her bad end, absolutely without a clue as to how to act and treat someone else. The reality is that it was objectively excessive. Just because it's obvious as to why she acted that way doesn't mean it was an emotionally he...

Re: Hanako bad ending discussion
Well, there is no real sense in trying to reverse the course of things in the script. You can try to talk with people about their feelings on this, and their hipotetical reactions in a similar situation, but what Hisao did in this path is done. You shouldn't rewrite the ending of the book, just bec...

Re: What's an artist..?
Best I can tell, art can be defined as an emotional and creative outpouring via some kind of medium. That's the definition I've used and it seems to hold up fairly well. Thus, an artists would be a person who pours out their emotions and creativity into some kind of medium. By that definition anyway.

Hanako bad ending discussion
I saw a couple of "Hanako bad ending" threads a while back, but none that really take this approach so I though it'd warrant a new thread. Anyway, I just finished playing Hanako's route and went back to get the bad end. Her bad end frustrated me not because of what happened, but because th...

Re: Should I finish Emi's path?
Absolutely. you should finish EVERY path. Each girl has so much to offer. You must not abandon any of them. Seriously, Emi's path is a good one. Just remember to listen to Mouto. He is wise and following his advice leads to good things. Ignoring it leads to heartache. Good luck man, and give Emi a ...

Re: Rin's neutral ending
Her neutral ending was painful for me mostly because of Hisao's attitude. In the end it was likely what was most realistic and ultimately it was probably better for them both. Sometimes a painful experience is that much harder when it's not so black and white.

Re: Real Life KS-type Relationships
I was kind of just hoping to make more friends and step out of my shell. I really don't want my nose to become the topic of dispute. I am trying to accept it due to it being part of my heritage. I got teased for it growing up, even from adults and still have people tell me that I'm ugly because of ...
