Re: Recommend a VN
Quartett is short and sweet, so I could jam it in with the beginner VNs. The story, while not all that great, has a god-tier presentation and is like an interactive manga. The epilogue that you get after you complete the routes is very heartwarming. Also, it's best to play Charlotte's route last. I...

Re: The "thank you 4LS" thread.
I did have one problem, though. Hanako spoilers: The sex scene with Hanako felt like it was forced, like Hisao was taking advantage of her, somehow. I'm actually very much an equalist who considers that blame for such situations usually should be on both parties, but this is one occasion where I fe...

Re: Recommend a VN
The sequel isn't as good as the original, but it's worth playing. If you want more visual novels, here's a good if incomplete recommendation chart. IMO, it's missing Princess Waltz, Quartett, Hoshizora no Memoria, and Deardrops. Out of curiosity, where on the chart would you place each of those, re...

Re: Recommend a VN
I've been playing VNs for a couple of years, and my backlog STILL mocks me. Why would you say something so discouraging? Anyhow, the only problems with regard to pacing that I've encountered with Princess Waltz (despite it being a 10-30 hour ordeal, according to VNDB - my new favorite site, b...

Hey, there's a thought - did Lilly ever have a seeing-eye dog or something?Aura wrote:Shooting from hip, but pretty sure pets are forbidden except for service animals.

Re: Recommend a VN
I played it already. There is an English patch. It's very playable. The only untranslated parts there is the Achievement Viewer, the whole story is translated. There are some noticeable typos, but its all good. :D Well then, I'll go ahead and add it to my list of 25-30 or so visual novels I need to...

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly
I'm not forgetting that aspect. Who said she doesn't have followers? -Misha follows Shizune for her own reasons, but she's there--you can't ignore her. -Hisao follows Shizune out of his own interest towards her. So she leads two people. Both of which he only leads because they're in love with her (...

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly
I know you were trying to be funny to make a point, but the arguments on both sides are starting to actually resemble this. Glad you caught that, haha. Arguing whether Shizune is selfishly getting Hisao to labor for her or if she just wants to help him feel better is splitting too fine hair - if th...

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly
I don't think Hisao gets enough credit. He worked his butt off for some of those relationships. He learned a new language for Shizune, he nearly killed himself for Lilly, and the very fact that he's able to reach out to Rin and Hanako at all says alot about him as a character. Hisao really seemed t...
