This thread needs to die. It needs to be put down like a rabid dog.

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly

although speaking of English-speaking Japanese, I know a handful of them in college, university, and some from my study to Japan. Their English aren't bad, but it's comparable to an American learning to speak any given Asian language. I had the most laugh when one of my friend from college translat...

Sounds pretty plausible.

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly

Wow, some of you guys really really underestimate the disabled. Do a youtube search of stuff like "armless" and find people who drive cars, play guitar and volleyball, practice dentistry, gunslingers, drummers, etc. No one has to change or clean Rin, or open doors for her. To be fair that...

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly

In Rin's path, it takes a HELL lot of effort from Hisao to understand Rin--and it takes similar effort for her to convey her feelings to Hisao so he could actually understand him (or understand herself--maybe). Even if she's not that physical, you can feel and understand the dynamic of their relati...

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly

Meet me halfway, man. Otherwise we're going to end up concussing each other with dictionaries. Love or otherwise, having someone be completely dependent on you for long durations of time is going to wear a little thin on your nerves. If you've ever had to deal with an infant in the house, you'll kn...

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly

I think it's extremely well-established in her arc that Lilly is completely and utterly comfortable with and adjusted to her disability, more so than any of the other characters in the game. She's only really capable of independent function in very familiar environments. I don't know about you, but...

I think that'd be a pretty cool idea.
Like, what happens when he goes to college with Lilly and all that.
It has been asked, and it has been answered. Answer was no.

As to more (separate from KS) VNs, my understanding is that it's a bit more up in the air.

Re: Ask!

The resemblance is pretty uncanny. Pink hair, golden eyes. Shiino, Shiina... their names are nearly identical. Even their personalities are comparable. No. Consider, Misha was developed before Kira Kira was even released in Japan. Ah, I see. Pardon, but that does give rise to another quick question...

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly

Personally, it's precisely those 'motherly' tendencies I can't stand. I already have one hell of a smothering Asian mother, I don't need another one. Also, her excessive mothering of Hanako and Hisao come across as an escapist coping mechanism for dealing with her own disabilities to me. And shit, ...

Re: Ask!

So was Misha influenced at all by Kirari Shiino, of Kira Kira fame?

Re: Recommend a VN

Started Kira Kira. So far, so good, although I will say that the translation is of a substantially lower quality than that of Princess Waltz. Still, it's passable. I didn't get into this genre expecting Edward G. Seidensticker quality, wahahaha~.

Will update when I finish the game 100%.

Re: Team Shizune vs Team Lilly

But the point on whether Shizune figured out that Misha had sex with Hisao is pure speculation. If I remember correctly, she hinted that she knew about it (or rubbed on the surface) on Act IV, 'Terminal' when Hisao and Shizune are discussing about them falling apart. She mentioned about being able ...

Re: Recommend a VN

Just finished Princess Waltz. Wow. Fucking fantastic. Really, the ending just blew me away. Three relatively minor complaints (major spoilers contained therein): 1) I thought that the game did a pretty shoddy job of establishing that Riko was actually the same person as Liesel. At first I thought th...

Team Nakai vs Team Shepard

For those not in the know, Mac Walters and Casey Hudson are purported to have ruined ME3's ending by themselves. Their brainstorming session on the ending purportedly included a line that went 'SPECULATIONS FOR EVERYONE' (I paraphrase here). Interesting. I was under the impression that the blame re...
