Re: Honjou Raita 本庄雷太
Tony Taka has no problem doing 'real work' and still doing doujins. Though the man is a godly artist. Yeah, there are a couple that manage to get away with that. CLAMP is another example. That's why I said there would probably never be an official response, rather than definitely. Pro artists who e...

Re: Honjou Raita 本庄雷太
IIRC there hasn't been one, and probably never will be. RAITA has gone professional, and most ex-doujinshi artists take pains to avoid connecting themselves with that particular aspect of their past.

I got it working on Ubuntu 11.10. Looks like I had a bad version of Flash installed. FlashAid worked like a charm. It'll apparently also work on other Debian derivatives too, like Mint.

Re: Which relationship do you think will last?
Also, she is protective, of anyone she knows, and falters if she thinks she's made the wrong move. Like when Hisao collapsed when he tried to have blind sex with her, one of the things that hurt him was the pity in her voice. This one's important to note, though, because in most works it would not ...

Re: Real Life KS-type Relationships
What you say, Paddy, is true as far as it goes. Making peace with oneself and one's appearance is important, and feeling loved is part of that. However, the fact remains that other people do notice one's appearance. It's hard not to; even Lilly, although she experiences appearances in a different wa...

Re: In a year of so will you still play this game?
I 100%'d a while back, but I haven't actually played the game since. In a year or two I might; I honestly don't know. The community is what keeps me coming back here, though.

Re: Real Life KS-type Relationships
I hate my smile. Some people say it is nice, but it is this conniving, half smirk like I had just slipped poison into someone's wine glass. I may share a lot with Hanako, but not her cute smile. Growing up, they tried to force me to smile and I never could. I try to smile in the mirror but it looks...

Re: Rin's finished/ashamed with myself
Not everyone cries. I didn't cry, in fact. It just means that's not the way you process this sort of thing. As long as you don't hold it against the people who do cry, it's OK.

Re: Real Life KS-type Relationships
I realize it's probably bad form to reply to my own post, but it's so long I wanted to break it up a little. One more question, since many probably have never had a deep relationship with a severely disabled person: Do you think it is a good idea for a healthy person to have a romantic relationship...

While strong emotional reactions to this game are common, they are by no means universal. There is nothing wrong with you.

Re: Katawa Crash (FAQ, DL link, and to-do log first post)
Anyone know what happened to the 4channel link? It was gone for a while, but now it seems to be kinda-sorta back (at least there's a Flash file with some of the assets), but it doesn't work.

Re: Why is Hisao so disliked?
Also, let's be honest here: Half to nearly 3/4 of you guys here would act like Hisao with girls at age 17 or 18, don't lie. Only 50-75? Try nearly 100%. Under-18s hate Hisao because they think they could have done so much better, while over-18s hate Hisao because he reminds us that no, actually, we...

Re: ??? regarding Hanako being an orphan
IIRC, the devs did say at one point that Hanako isn't poor. That has implications for this question, because it means that since she doesn't have a family, she must have some kind of income. Jobs don't sound likely: she's too young for full-time work, and mentally she's not in much condition to hold...
