Re: The problem with Shizune

I should've said that to Megumeru =P Problem is, the entire KS verse has my back. Here's why: 1. The KS setting takes place more or less in my own backyard. I grew up in that environment for the past 18 years, lived the culture that was presented (loathed it at some point, but grew to appreciate it...

Re: The problem with Shizune

I honestly think you've thought entirely too deeply about this. The devs didn't intent to simulate a perfectly realistic Japanese environment when they created Katawa Shoujo, they've said as much. KS settings takes place nonetheless in a background I grew up with, so of course I'll reference my own...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

From his in-game sprite he seems only slightly taller than Lilly. So he's about 5'8-ish. That's not very tall  Does... D-Does that mean Lilly has a penis almost as big as Jigoro's? Hopefully. That definitely explains where her 'healthy adolescent sex drive' came from. Now enter Hisao

Re: The problem with Shizune

This doesn't show any particular caring; she's the Student Council president and it's very common in Japan for students to care for each other on this level purely out of obligation. Not true. As someone who's raised and familiar with the customs and culture here, I'll ask you: have you ever been a...

Re: The problem with Shizune

I have a lot of catching up to do •_• I'll get to it once exams are done and work doesn't poke around anymore Yes and no. Sometimes providing support and/or working from behind the scenes to ensure one's partner achieves their goal (which I thought you might have been implying) is the right kind of ...

Re: The problem with Shizune

I find Hisao's statement that he will continue to chase Shizune incredibly poignant. Always chasing implies never catching up to. If the context when he said the statement is before he and Shizune became a couple, then yes, that may be true. But thing is, with the ending we have both of them gradua...

Re: The problem with Shizune

Shizune is never an easy character to read into and is often a challenge for the majority to get through--which I believe is intended, as it is in-line with her in-verse character. Her disability is one aspect that contributes to her reasoning (she is in a sense, 'living in an entirely different wor...

Re: You have been playing too much KS when...

I'm contemplating creating a full-conversion Crusader Kings 2 mod...Katawa Kings 2. In CK2, that's too easy. They all end up crippled. They have so many ways to end up... incapacitated in some way or other. What's difficult is keeping them hale and hearty! Ah, but what if I remove those ways? Just ...

Re: Random KS Discussion

So, has anyone seen this? For The Glory of Your Waifu! It's a Europa Universalis IV mod that replaces the flags of a lot of the countries with portraits of girls form anime. Some of the Steppe Hordes near China, like the Oriat and Chagatai, have Katawa Shoujo characters for flags. No Shizune? Aawwh...
