Re: The future of VN's
we are talking atleast 200 years from now til that kind of vr is safe for the human brain .... though the feeling of lets say feeling lilly touch would be pretty cool Yes, the topic got a bit more futuristic then i intended. I was thinking about the not so-distant future with stuff like computers b...

Re: The future of VN's
If society will ever use Androids for all/most work, i'm pretty sure the way people are payed etc. will also be entirely different from todays system. In a post-scarcity world where money doesn't exist in any form, perhaps. Probably, that's why i already mentioned in my previous post i don't see An...

Re: The future of VN's
I'm not sure how the creation of artificial entities that supplant and replace human activity will benefit human society as a whole. Unemployment will be rampant, and "hate crimes" against androids will be even more prevalent than when it arose out of racial, religious, or ethnic prejudic...

Re: The future of VN's
All this is nothing compared to the future development that will be almost inevitatble: the android. Look at http://www.projectaiko.com/ for a primitive example. Of course, the future android will be much more complex, built from a mixture of silicon technologies, nanotechnology and and biotechnolo...

Re: The future of VN's
That's exactly why i think it's such a 2-sided story. It would be an amazing feature for VN's, and would be able to make them even more immersive. It will also expand the possibilities for the devs. On the other hand, why not having a real dinner with a girl instead of a digital one? I can see thous...

The future of VN's
Some explanation first: Microsoft is opening a new company here in Belgium that will focus on creating "interactive computer communication products". Because of that, a tv channel broadcasted an interesting documentary about what they are planning to do there.Their goal is to make programs...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
First run of week 8. Man, i had a bad day! I managed to complete the run, but my muscles/legs hurt like hell. Stamina was okay though. After the 8 week plan, I'm gonna go for 2 runs of 5km a week until I join the running club (hopefully i'll join that running club in 2 weeks or so already) and i'm a...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
And once there was this really strange moment while running on my last breath, I noticed the clouds dispersed while I was running and I saw the stars for the first time, I tried to remember if there was something about stars in KS, some scene with Shizune maybe? (I'm not thinking of KS all the time...

Re: A review of the music of KS
FF8's OST is one of the best ever made imo Some of the songs of KS reminded me of FF8's as well. All I can say KS has an excellent OST, one of the best for any VN and game I played.

I only went for a run yesterday, but i'm studying for this important exam tomorrow atm and i feel the need to go out and run to clear my head for a bit. But for sake of my exam and letting my body rest a day, i'm not going to. Am I getting addicted?

Re: Ask!
It's the magic of a well written, well thought out story. The dialogues are made by passionate people with great talent and we should certainly not underestimate the power of the cg's and music. If talent and passion come together, great stuff can happen, in this ace: Evoking emotions. Just my 2 cen...

Re: Did KS change my life? Yes, a little. And here's why.
Oh god, this thread just gave me some major feels. KS got me to ask out the girl I like after remaining in a shell for far too long, but that story blows mine out of the water. I've heard some touching stories brought upon by KS, but this one takes the cake. I'm happy to read that KS was a catalyst...
