Re: POLL: The Various Age Groups of KS ~Revised~
Maybe this isn't as surprising at second glance. The people who're probably most hit by it/are most interested in this VN are people who can relate more easily with the characters in these stories.

Re: Help With Getting Over the Game
From what I know, the writer's did purposely put things into the story to evoke certain emotions. Nothing wrong with that, you get more immersed into the story that way.

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously
Well, it might be hard for me to say this, but you have to look at the time frames all those stories are in. Shizune's has a longer time frame than usual, while Hanako's is very short in comparison. What happens is that shizune's story also looks after Tanabata, which you would've missed with Lilly ...

Re: If Katawa Shoujo was a JRPG...
The tarot cards actually represents a time/period in everyone's life when their psyche develops new emotions due to subjection to certain outside stimuli. But what I'm trying to link up is the social link most appropriate for each arcana. That's what I was trying to get across. I mean, Shizune ...

Re: "The feels"
Before Katawa the only thing that gave me "the feels" (It was just feelings before KS) was music, which I am very passionate about. KS is the first thing that gave me the feels other than music for a long time, and one of the strongest cases I have ever had. Damn, that is pretty much how i had it ...

Re: If Katawa Shoujo was a JRPG...
Whoa. Suddenly. Fire Emblem. Ok to further add to the confusion, I'll redefine them using Persona 3 major arcanas. Hisao: Magician Hanako: Hermit Lilly: Lovers Emi: Chariot Rin: Hanged Man Shizune: Empress MIsha: Fool That last one doesn't seem to match. It seems more like Hisao would be the fool ...

I think it'd be good, but only after the point Hisao attaches a voice to shizune's gestures.

Re: LILLYS ENDING MAN
Someone, hug me, please. I cried myself to sleep yesterday after the good ending not because of all the emotions, but rather because a girl I got to love is a fictional character and we'll never meet IRL. Never expected a vn to be this real. I'm so pitiful  I gotta force myself now to play ...

Re: Psychological issues?
If I'm right, reading people's body language is a major way of social contact. Someone who has an autism spectrum disorder could have trouble reading body language and as thus is limited in a way. Or trying to get a point across, but somehow making the point entirely too vague for others. The latter ...

BTW, I didn't really think my GF died, if I had any. What I actually thought was that the story had closure for the reader, but let the character's have their own future. What I'm getting at here, is that their lives go on and you have read the story of how they met and what trouble they went ...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously
Just finished yesterday Hanako's route with good and bad ending. Actually I'm feeling a bit worried, but not because of "the feels", rather the opposite: after reading a few pages of this topic, I was surprised because I didn't experience all the emotional turmoil many of you seem to have had. It's ...
