Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
Be that as it may, there were places where at least 9 "clicks" of text were used when 3 would have been just as good, if not better. If this were a print novel, I'd suspect them of padding the word count to please publishers. Conventional publishers prefer fat books because they control the ...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
The Shizune route set up was long, but it was a conflict that needed time to develop since three characters had to undergo significant amounts of characterization (Hisao, Misha, and Shizune) instead of two (Hisao and the Heroine).

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
The entire VN was in need of a supervising editor to comb everything out. This is just more noticeable in Shizune's arc.Pl4t0 wrote: Anyways, yeah - the one really blatant flaw of Shizune's path that really sticks out is just how poorly it flows. The timeline is a bit difficult to figure out.

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
I seriously thought she didn't recognize what love is throughout the entire story. Meh. At least she wants to see her friends again, implying she wont end this part of her life.
I think she gets the basics, but that some of the subtlety is lost on her. This is par for the course growing up deaf ...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
I think you should look at this from a little wider perspective. After reflecting on the story, this is my analysis of the situation.

Now please don't disagree all at once.
I hardly disagree at all. I have a slightly different take, though. At this point in the story, we're still ...

Re: Has KS somehow influenced your life?
The KS fan base has given me some things to think about as a game designer.

Re: nomiya
Maybe he did overstep his propriety as a teacher, maybe not. It's not black and white. Yamuka isn't exactly a normal high school, and I'm not sure that all of the normal expectations apply. If anything, Yamuka teachers probably have more flexibility, and the students are probably held to a higher ...

Re: nomiya
I'd go as far as to say the idea of going pro is totally alien to Rin. It's not just that she had no intention of doing it, it seems almost beyond what she can reasonably contemplate.

Re: nomiya
As an artist who pays his rent on time, I can see where Nomiya is coming from. I've had to deal with artists of Rin's temperament, and it never goes well. In some ways Rin's attitude toward art is not unlike my own mother's. She had the talent, and the drive, but wasn't the kind of people person or ...

Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
First I'd like to say that if I hadn't heard of this questionnaire, I might never have bothered with KS. Deservedly or not, KS is known for being "that visual novel made by 4chan where you hit on crippled chicks".
