Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
This is great! I hope she'll get moved as well, maybe her life will be affected as well :) I think....I know we have females in these forums, somewhere...around....not sure how they felt about the game though. Will you be putting up your wife's answers to the questionnaire as well? You know, when ...

Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
I'm almost distressed for you as you have to ask your wife to play the game :P and watch her do so, is it going to be in one sitting? (not the whole thing in one sitting of course) We're one of those unique couples who tend to like each other's company nearly constantly, with a few exceptions. Not ...

Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
Fair's fair, after all. 1. Which girl's thread affected you the most emotionally? Why did it do this? Hanako's and Rin's affected me most, for slightly different reasons. Both girls remind me of my wife, but in different ways: Hanako's social awkwardness, particularly her panic attack , stood out to ...

Re: KS pets?
Lilly would have a kitten. It would fit her motherly nature, and cats are generally regarded as upper-class pets. As the pet parent of four cats ... yes, me and my wife are interning with the Crazy Cat People Institute ... I believe that this might not be as accurate as you think. Lilly's ...

Re: Hisao's little bundle of joy
Actually, the Shizune pictures remind me of the Shizune epilogue that was written by a fan. I'll attach it in case anyone here hasn't read it. Kinda works with the Shizune/kid picture. Hadn't seen this one myself, and I have to say I think it works, forgiving all of the grammatical errors (I'm an ...

Re: Hisao's little bundle of joy
After looking through all the artwork on this topic ... very surprised that all of the children happen to be girls, and only two (Shizune's and Emi's) seem to have any hereditary traits to Hisao. The odds alone don't support that. I do think it's cute, though, and I thought about this topic myself ...

Re: Relationship Poll
Married 7 years as of this past December, with our first baby due in June. I will say, though, that I've been one to need work on my empathy skills, and KS has been a bolster to work we had done last year with a couples therapist (who told us we were one of her best couples to work with just because ...

Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
As some folks have noted here, yes I have my 100 responses. I've compiled them all on a single Excel file, so that I can better analyze the results. Now to the next phase ... the computer I had KS on died on me, so I need to re-download it. Another part of this is to observe someone else ...

Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
You're not too late to enter a response to this questionnaire. I currently have 89 responses. I'll record 11 more, then end my information-gathering.
Again, the thread won't be deleted: I'll keep it here on the board in case others would like to share their feelings.

Project Update:
I am now at 87 responses. I will record 13 more, then close this information-gathering stage.
Again, I won't erase the thread, just stop tracking info. Feel free to continue to post your feelings here, if it helps.

Re: Would Katawa Shoujo have worked as a written novel?
If I may ... Considering the level of descriptive action taking place in the text of every scene ... whereas not only is there a visual element to the scene but that element is actually described in extensive detail in the text ... I feel that KS would probably work as a standard print novel. It ...

Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
Your attention, please: I currently have 87 responses to this questionnaire, so first let me sincerely thank all of you who have responded thus far. In the interest of getting the ball rolling on my research, I am only going to collect information on 13 more respondents, maximum, for a total of 100 ...

Re: KS Academic Conference Paper - Seeking Help
Professor, please remember that the plural of anecdotes is not data. Although a big fan of KS myself, I admire your spirit for trying to give this well deserved game a more serious study. On the other hand, as a fellow academic in the field of economics, I cannot but express a feeling of hesitance ...
