Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Seriously, just a question (do you want to do that?), or a look or touch and a nod, or maybe a previous hint at naked=sex from Hanako, anything to confirm Hanako's consent, would have eased the transition very much, while still keeping the story line and the possibility for an awkward scene, while ...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

I realize this is going to sound horrible, Yeah, you're right about that. Sounds like your efforts got the girls in question jack and squat, since they didn't put forth the effort to change their circumstances. That's rather the point: it's not about you. You can't fix people. The best you can do i...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Unfortunately, I can't really agree with that last bit considering that, during the good ending scene, Hisao is shocked to discover that pretty everything he thought he knew about her was wrong. Not quite. He acknowledges that he didn't understand her, but that doesn't mean he was wrong. It just me...

Re: The Lamb and The Fox

Wow. This is . . . astonishingly good. I really like the idea of a followup to Rin's bad end (because the "neutral" ending was the real bad end, no question about it), and I'm very glad you've decided to run with it. The fact that you write like you know what you're doing doesn't hurt, eit...

Say what? I've never insisted upon anything of the sort. I've never even suggested it.

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

I think you are going to deep into the psyche of it all, I already find a huge wall in a more basic level. I am literally incapable of getting hard by watching a scene like that and acting upon it. Uh . . . how is that even remotely relevant to the discussion at hand? I myself have had intimacy wit...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?

Read Misha's rooftop coming out and the flashback scenes again. She thought it was over after being rejected but Shizune kept tracking her down, similar to how the two of them kept after Hisao in act 1. She was glad that Shizune still wanted to be her friend but she also says it hurt both then and ...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Lunar pretty much hits a homer as to why the Hanako scene felt off. Basically, how the hell can your reaction to seeing a shivering, sobbing woman that is covered in scars (that have caused her immense amounts of trauma and who you know has incredible problems just allowing people to see half of he...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?

She's not averse to risks but she has also realized that her actions aren't always being receiving well by other people emotionally. She knows what's going on inside Misha's head but isn't sure why, and so with Hisao and her now an item she's doing the one thing she knows she's good at: throwing he...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

As for Hisao's handling of it...yeah, he wasn't the perfect gentleman, but I don't think it's fair to accuse him of acting like an unfeeling troglodyte. Neither Hisao nor Hanako were emotionally ready for the kind of intimacy that Hanako suddenly initiated and the complete lack of emotional and men...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Hisao did a reckless thing by ignoring Hanako's cues; inexcusably reckless, frankly. Freezing up as Hanako did is one of the classic red flags: not quite a universal no-signal, but close enough that stopping to check and make sure everything's OK is basic due diligence. Failing to do this was, in e...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?

Lack of choices: Like I said, I've only been down Emi's path besides this one, but most choices for her didn't even net unlocking new scenes, so lack of choices was not too bad That was my one nitpick of Katawa Shoujo as a whole. I can't really fault the game for it because it pulled it off really ...

Re: Lilly's Route

I haven't read through the whole thread yet, but I wonder if the question answered in this post has been addressed. I had the same question while playing through Lilly's route, and it left me . . . well, let's just say it was a head-scratcher.

Any ideas?

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Does that mean you think the scene where he showed her his scar means nothing too? I don't believe that I'm the one here with a double standard. No, you are. She didn't have to strip to show him her scars. Hell, she didn't have to undress at all -- he can see them plainly on her face and arm. Even ...
