Re: Piano Sheet Music?

Anyway, to the lass who did the Adante in Romance II arrangement (and anyone who cares): It is possible to play on the violin and I've tried it myself. However, there are some parts on the song that is just impossible to play on violin (that or I just suck at the moment) I can pretty much take a gu...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

That's because scales are the building blocks of all music. Most every piece of music is based on some sort of scale, whether major, minor, whole-tone, or some other not-often-used mode. Learning the circle of fifths greatly improved my playing ability; knowing the patterns music will fall in makes...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

Yeah, the double-stops starting at 58 would certainly be a pain in the ass for a single violin to play. Luckily, I switched over to piano. :D ^ MY freaking maaaan! You're a champ, bud. But if you could actually learn the whole song on violin, including those parts, that'd be so epic!! Good luck wit...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

No. Use fingering: 231234121232124321321312. You can make liberal use of rubato here, too. Playing it in strict time won't do it any justice. I'd reccomending ritting until the high Ab, then accelling until the start of the next measure. Good job on the transcription though! Haha! I probably should...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

Alright! It's done! It's here! Romance in Andante II! PDF: http://www.mediafire.com/?9bw4103ix3665hr MIDI: http://www.mediafire.com/?74grpys6e16ds4a Kay, so just a few things: First, I'm sorry that the MIDI sounds so choppy and disconnected. Obviously you would use the pedal on the piano, and would ...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

Alright, so I've got a bit of bad news. Romance in Andante II is in the key of Ab major. Now that's not nearly as hectic as Ab minor, but I know how much you guys all hate the whole Ab shebang. So here's what I'll do. I'll transcribe one version in Ab major, as it sounds, and I'll transcribe another...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

On the whole Ab minor topic, can't you completely ignore the key signature to play the song in A minor (with the exception of making naturals into sharps)? I'm not entirely sure and would like to know, because I might end up doing this at some point. Yessir. You could totally do that. Just be reall...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

I've started transcribing 'Aria de l'Etoile' if anyone's interested, wrote down all the notes I could listen out for on paper, gonna get it on sibelius with the correct rhythm and such in the next couple of days :) Never transcribed anything before haha What approach do you guys take when transcrib...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

BTW, WHO WANTS SHEETS FOR "Romance in Andante II"??!!! I'd be happy to make 'em, it's my favorite song. Mind you, it probably won't be easy to play, but I'd still love to make them if some people want them.

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

http://www.mediafire.com/?jluo054glvj978o There's the MIDI file for it. Like I promised, I'm going to post a video of me playing it once I have the time and once I'm happy with it, so maybe that will help you also to transcribe or see how it's played! For now, I'll leave you with a video of me play...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

Haha! These are all the same notes that I wrote, just written differently. There's a reason why I made that key signature. It's so that you wouldn't have all those ugly natural symbols and flat symbols. Ex. In the third note of the first bar, you wrote a B-natural, and then you had to correct it by...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

It's in the key of C-Flat Major. This key is basically a middle finger to us violinist so I'm not gonna learn this song anytime soon. You guitarists may have better luck with it but idunno. I'm still waiting for somebody to transpose this song into a more suitable key for violinist and an octave lo...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

I just LOVE Painful History, although as a guitarist who isn't very good at notation/theory: Guess I better start learning more theory until I can find a MIDI (to import to Guitar Pro so I can decipher it)! Trying to decipher it now using Google, wish me luck! It's in the key of C-Flat Major. This ...

Re: Piano Sheet Music?

I transcribed a good version of Painful History. The version that plays in the full game. I'll upload a video of me playing it later.
