While it is conceivable that Shizune would think this way, it would likely imply a sense of significant shame about her deafness. I don't really see why this should be. On a side note, unless you want to make a really shitty cake, you don't put all the ingredients together at once. You add them one at a time in order, making sure that they are incorporated properly. So Rin is right for once.
