Re: Which ending did you feel hurt the most?

I was usually more affected by the climax than the catharsis or the epilogue. Still, looking back I'm pretty sure Rin's endings were the most disturbing. There's a sense of not knowing in them that leaves you feeling a bit hollow unlike the other ends - good and bad - that were much more final. So ...

Re: What scene made you "cry" the most

Hands down the scene that made me cry the most, was the Rin Neutral Ending. Most of the negative endings actually left me mad or annoyed with them (Shizune's bad ending), or genuinely upset(Hanako's bad ending), but the Rin Neutral ending really hit a soft spot. It was the biggest 'cry' scene for me ...

Re: What ending was the best for Hisao?

No he does not. A morning jog isn't "pushing the body" by far. Running a marathon in 2h30m would be, a morning jog is healthy and will benefit him for sure. Ya think Nurse would encourage him to run if it's bad for him? This has nothing to do with Hisao's body, his heart cannot keep up with it ...

Re: What ending was the best for Hisao?

I can understand why there are so few votes for Shizune, but in the end I think this ending was the best, for one overwhelming thing he was lacking in almost all of the other endings. He learned to do things for himself, not because someone else suggested it to him, or someone he cares for wants him ...

Re: Which ending did you feel hurt the most?

Hanako's bad ending was by far the most impactful, but out of all the endings the one that hurt the most, was without a doubt, the neutral Rin ending. Hisao will have to live his entire life knowing he made her give up on any kind of intimacy. @Total Destruction: You hated Emi? That's a surprise. I ...

Re: The Rin arc is so frustrating

I didn't read any of the posts here, but I just wanted to say, the ending I disliked the most out of all of them(even including Hanako's bad) was Rin's Neutral ending.

Re: Yume Miru Kusuri

Mizuki? Who's that? And what does the thread name mean? It's a different VN, one that did inspire Katawa Shoujo to some extent. I personally consider KS better, but it's a bit hard to compare them. They seem similar on the outside, but they are so different in tone and execution. Yume Miru Kusuri ...

Yume Miru Kusuri

At first I was really happy this was recommended somewhere on this site, as being similar to katawa shoujo. All of the characters and routes where really enjoyable, but when Mizuki's route finished(I also got to this route last) I don't even know what to do with myself. All the other endings had ...

Re: Is it just me, or is Hanako better off...

The easiest thing to miss in this comparison, is the length of the story. The good ending for Hanako is actually the shortest of all the paths, where as the Lilly path is the longest of them all. So its not as though she is "Better Off", its more like there was more time shown in her development.

I don't think its even possible to post the amount of times I would have acted differently to hisao, they made the main character quite dense.

Re: Why the hate for Shizune ??

I think Shizune's path can be explained much easier than what most of you have posted, and it seems most of you are missing one fundamental point that most of the other routes don't come even close to. In Shizune's Route, Hisao changes the most out of any other route. To put it simply, most of the ...

Re: Your natural choice

My first story was with Emi, and my last with Lilly, while each story held its own charms, in the end I think I fell for Lilly. Probably because she represents the ideal for me.

Re: An overwhelming experience...

I think the point that everyone is missing here is that he has no delusions on this being a real or not, its the depression that comes with realizing it isn't real. These characters where just done so well that they can find there way into your heart regardless of what sensibilities you have, and ...
