It would work for me. I see nothing wrong with voice-overs, maybe with comical hand-flurries to save on animating every sign.

Shizune's route seemed to be the worst of the group in terms of abrupt scene changes. There were far too many times when I paused and thought 'wait, where are we now?' There were a few points in the other routes that I got that same feeling, but Shizune's was more pronounced.

Things should be done by the book! It's just that the book hasn't been written for every situation, so there are times when it can be ignored. - Misha
