Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Can I ask if I cannot find a nearby track to run at, where would be the best place to run? I've heard that running on concrete is not good because you're more likely to be injured but I fear I may have no choice when I come to do this I'd say if you're reasonably young, aren't massively overweight ...

Re: When introducing this game to somebody, how do you start

"Hey I found a game you should play! It's like a porn game with crippled girls in it! 8D" Nah, as the guys above say. I mostly say it's an illustrated book, because people may not have heard or understand visual novels, and describe it as being a feel-good story which really fleshes out th...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

I'm down another 3.5 lbs. That makes it a total of 35.5 lbs. so far! I am officially 20% of the way to my target weight. Congratulations! :D That's really epic :D I'm kinda faltering on my pushups at the minute, due to being tired all the time. I did however manage to do a kind of mini-endurance te...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

@Enemy: Emi pulls of the mustache look extremely well. It's only what a gentleman would do. And yea, I used to go out running at night, and used to hang at a friend's house until the wee hours of the morning, and end up walking the 2.5 miles home at 1am, 3am, 5am and never saw any trouble at all. O...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Speaking as someone who's 24 and been pinballing around trying to find a real job since leaving Uni, I'd go for the full time employment. Better education should be a better choice, but it's my view so far that if you've gotten a degree you've proven that you can learn things and put in the time, an...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Havin' a harder time of it at the moment, on the exercise front. I started some work 3 weeks ago, which involves standing up for 8 hours a day on the shop floor, and also requires me to walk 2 miles total to and from work. While I'm sure this is good for me, it's tiring me out. Most days when I get ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Just be careful, if you want to continue to exercise every day, no problem, but you need to do recovery exercises every other day. So, for example, monday long walk, tuesday shorter and easy paced walk, wednesday swimming, thursday easy walking, friday a walk uphill for an hour, saturday easy strid...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

I went for a little run this evening. I left my home as an ordinary man. I returned in shining glory as "He Who Can Run for One-Score-and-One Minutes Without Stopping for a Breather". Well, perhaps that overstates it a bit. But it does feel pretty good. :) Nice work :D Also, to the new pe...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

haha, your last sentence made me laugh :p Today I went for a short 1 mile run. New personal record: 6:49! I went to my absolute max and even had to lay down a bit afterwards. It's a great time but i just looked up the world record time out of curiosity and it's 3:43. Just how the f*ck is that even ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Yea, resting up and eating a load was the side I was thinking of falling down on as well. Seems more sensible than pushing on and running the risk of making myself ill. And I've been like this as long as I can remember. Gone to a few doctors about it in the past, and because there's nothing obviousl...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

ooo damn, gotta get my game on. Feels like everybody here is beating me. Any other way to not feel tired quickly? Make sure you fuel up proeprly. A lot of people overlook it, but eating the right foods, and partiocualrly eating something before you go out to give you energy while you run will reall...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

too bad I can't join...it keeps saying no data received for some reason. Another question! (I know this is kind of a noob question but) How do you know the distance you guys you ran? I had that as well. Find Fitocracy through Google, and join it that way, then manually search for a KS group (or sea...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

I think sand is better for your joints (as it cushions your steps. Every step you make when you run, 10x your body weight drops on one of your legs), but uses up more energy and is harder, since when you push off a foot, it sinks into the sand so you use more energy to move. I only just realised tha...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

:D Sounds like everyone is doin' really good :D I did W5D2 take 2 yesterday in a rush - had housemates waiting for me to watch a film, so I was a lot more rushed than I usually am and didn't rest inbetween sets as much as I normally do. Consequently they were a lot harder than normal, and I skipped ...
