Looks like the additional $30 rewards sold out with baffling rapidity. I had a script set up to refresh my browser every 5 seconds, and I don't think it got through more than 2 refreshes before all 10 were gone. Unfortunately, I was not fast enough to snag on of those 10 :(
I was right there too ...

Re: What is your "True" route?
Your ending is the true one, for you. Not anybody elses. Not a single ending is superior, better or more likely because no kind of logic applies to all possible variants of Hisao.
But that's the whole point of this thread. It's not asking which end is the true one; it's asking which one is your ...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
Shizune's family problem is a bloat and even Misha's problem is a bloat since it is not well connected to what should've been the main them of the arc: the relationship of Hisao and Shizune.
The difference is that the Misha subplot is actually interesting and really heartbreaking. I disagree that ...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
I just finished Shizune as my fourth route. I loved it, and I'm not really sure why so many people didn't. It's by far the funniest route. Misha is just a ball be around, and while Kenji, for me, slides back and forth on the annoying/amusing spectrum, I found him closer to the amusing end for most ...

Re: All in all, what was your favorite route?
Shizune's was pretty bad to be honest. Shizune had almost no personality and Misha's entire existence pretty made it impossible for her to even have any noticeable difficulties with her disability .
What. Really? I would have said the opposite.
I can't say I was a huge fan of Lilly's path though ...

I think you just blew my mind.bradpara wrote:It is very much meditation on the nature of genius and the ability of people to understand one another. To the point where Rin's disability almost beacomes a metaphor for her inability to "touch" others the way she would like.

Re: Would you play a "mental disability" VN similar to KS?
Hence why I wanted it to be different. I'm all up for taking KS and do something inspired by it, but making a VN about mental disabled girls in a special school where there are 5 of them and you just got around one of them and their conflict past and personality feels like going through the motions ...

Re: A Week of Memories part 7: Graduation
I wish I'd been around to experience more of the ride getting to this point. I'm not sure what to say in a situation like this, so I'll just say what I said to those people at my own graduation who had changed my life, each in their own small way.
Thanks for everything. I'll see you around.

Re: Would you play a "mental disability" VN similar to KS?
I think that both an episodic approach and the harem approach have their merits and demerits, and in the end I would enjoy writing for either type. The one thing that stands out for me in KS' take on the harem approach, however, is that I formed a sort of emotional bond with the school itself ...

Re: Discussion - Emi Route (*Spoilers* Warning)
If Meiko was only talking about how Emi sees things, she was correct, but that means that the way Emi sees things is wrong.
Thoughts?
Absolutely. Meiko is giving you how Emi views the effects of the accident. To her, it wasn't a big deal, but she's in denial about how much it really changed her ...

Re: Would you play a "mental disability" VN similar to KS?
For a project like this to be successful and not just stand in the shadow of KS, I think there are a few vital things to remember:
1. Wait for the KS craze to die down. Take all the time you need to make it a really good game -- don't try to "cash in" on KS's success.
2. Make something that stands ...
