Re: Did you sometimes forget that KS was not Japanese?

I can't say I ever forgot that it wasn't Japanese, but ... there were certainly moments where I was alerted to just how English (language) the origins of the script were. Hisao's self-conscientiousness with "I see" was probably the most common one. Every time I read those scenes, I couldn't help but ...

Re: Most Physically Attractive Girl

1. Emi's mom. Simply gorgeous. 2. Hanako. Despite her scarring, the way she's been drawn is very, very attractive. Vote would admittedly probably be different if the Anime Effect weren't in place to lessen the disfiguring nature of her burns. Misha would have been #3. Dont really care past that ...

Re: Would Katawa Shoujo have worked as a written novel?

Certain routes would have worked very well as stand-alone novels. Rin's comes to mind. Others depended a little more heavily on the companionship of their sister routes. If I had to votes "yes/no," I'd probably vote "yes," that KS could have worked as a written novel. Not getting embroiled in the ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo "Plus"

You really cannot read, can you? Spare your angry comments for another time: the name is temporary . Seriously, your so-called "suggestions are nothing more than your demands. Be butthurt less, please. I can read just fine. I'm saying that even as a temporary name it's stupid of you guys and your ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo "Plus"

If it isn't intended as a cash-in on Katawa Shoujo's success, then the name shouldn't be Katawa Shoujo+. Everyone and his mother who knows about Japanese games sees that title and automatically assumes that this is either a v2.0 of the original KS or that it's a sequel, one of the two. Since this ...

Re: POLL: The Various Age Groups of KS ~Revised~

The borders only fail you for that infinitesimal moment in time where you are exactly the border age (e.g. 15 years 0 months 0 days 0 hours minutes 0 seconds 0 tenth-seconds 0 hundredth-seconds ...). If you take the poll before that moment, then you are below the indicated age (so to use the 15yo ...

Re: POLL: So many to pick from...

I voted Misha, assuming she'd be willing to change teams . But then I realized I like Lilly and Akira more, but it was too late to change my vote. Between those two, I think I'd rather pick Lilly, despite how awesome Akira is. In response to your spoiler: I always took Misha to be bisexual myself ...

Re: POLL: So many to pick from...

Interesting how if you were to go off of the vocal votes alone, you'd think that Akira would be a strong contender for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place; vice versa, Hanako has little vocal representation in thread yet is clearly dominating in the polls. Probably a coincidence more than anything, but I just ...

27. Shocked to see so many 15-20s here, but then again, this might explain a lot about the nature of and views expressed in the posts here.

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Do you guys not understand that the awkwardness, that the wrongness of that scene was both intentional and was used to further drive the plot? Being a good writer does not mean writing characters who always make the right decisions. Being a good story does not require being the sum of ideal ...

Re: Character Voices

(my previous post) That's the most accurate one yet. I'm not too fond of Inoue for Lilly, though. It has to be sweeter. Well, not Mai Nakahara-sweet. I don't think she's the best fit either, but every once in a while -- usually when Lilly does the closed eyes "ara ara + u fu fu" hand-to-the-mouth ...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

Putting forth another vote for "please don't spoiler tag Hanako Route spoilers in a thread that clearly isn't meant to be read until you've completed the Hanako path. Thanks." I'm all for spoiler tagging spoilers for the other routes in this thread, but if it's a Hanako spoiler, people have really ...

Re: Character Voices

Hanako - Noto Mamiko ( sample 1 , sample 2 ) That's the only one that I really, solidly hear in my head while playing the game. The other characters, I occasionally see glimmers of the following but they don't stick for too long: Hisao - Nakamura Yuuichi Lilly - Inoue Kikuko ( sample , except much ...

Re: cpl_crud interview on youtube

The interviewer interrupts the Corporal much too much. He also asks some general questions (like the one about how the art roles were delegated) that have already been answered countless times on the forums. However, it was for the most part a good interview -- and an absolute magical treat to hear ...

Re: Ask!

Two music questions! Well ... a little more than "two" since each of the two has a lot of sub-questions that go with it. Question 1: Ah Eh I Oh You When I first heard the nurse's theme song, "Ah Eh I Oh You," it gave me a sense of foreboding. Despite its jazzy smoothness, it seemed a little ...
