I'll shoot for the ones I don't like much first, get them out of the way and save the ones I really like for last. So Hanako and Rin first, then Emi since while I like her I don't like her as much as I like Shizune and Lilly, then those two, whichever one I feel like first.

That would be Utsuge/Nakige tags. Yeah I saw those, but those tags didn't wind up helping as much as I had hoped they would. For example Fate Stay Night wasn't listed as a Nakige and that one was particularly heart wrenching for me, whereas Yume Miru Kusuri is listed as one, but I rather enjoyed ...

That's great! It's a bit bittersweet for me, though, as I'll be in Basic Training when the game is likely released (I ship in less than a month), so I won't have access to the game for a while after it's released anyway. At least I'll have something to look forward to, though.

I'm still trying to get caught up on VNs, only played what's available so far on KS, F/SN, and a handful of smaller ones that I can't remember at the moment. I feel like the process would go a lot smoother, though, if vndb had a tag for "causes soul crushing despair" that way I could easily avoid ...

I'm liking what I'm reading thus far, which is surprising for me as I generally don't much care for fan fiction and especially adding original characters in fan fiction due to the high tendency to have them be Mary Sues. I think you've managed to avoid that (the Mary Sue part) pretty handily, though ...
