Oh. I'd forgotten what Molly looked like and just figured that was the mysterious Meiko... My mistake then.Aura wrote:Well, the presence of Molly should tip off anyone who knows who she is that the chibi pic has nothing to do with officialness.

Re: New characters for act 2
A thing to note is that the TL team's book is not "official". I mean, it is for them of course, and we've given our blessing, but none of us has seen it, and while there are a couple of things some of us made for it, it's more a guest feature sort of thing. Good to know. I love the chibi ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo in Comitia 96
Those are now, outside the sprites themselves, my two favorite pieces of official art that have been released. Seriously. Even if we have to wait, I hope they're released digitally on the Shimmie at some point!

Re: New characters for act 2
We only know for sure of exactly two additional characters: Hideaki and the mysterious Meiko. I'd say Natsume is the only other one that's a relatively safe bet because she's Aura's avatar, and I believe another Dev's as well (though I can't remember which one). I know that doesn't prove anything, b...

[...] some Onion stories have been picked up and mistaken for genuine news by overseas press [...] Yeah, I remember when I saw their videos for the first time. I found some links in a blog or a forum. I first thought they were real, because they looked so professional and they can be really subtle ...

Re: KS is now socially acceptable
There's also the following (much more thoroughly explained) Wikipedia list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Onion# ... _seriously
Like I said, I figured that since this is an international forum, it'd be best to play it safe and make sure nobody mistook that for being real.

Re: Literary Tastes
... why do i picture Rin reading Lord of the Flies in my mind? Seems more appropriate for Kenji, really... also, inspired by another thread on here, I think he'd be one to miss the fact that the Onion is satire and believe every word of it. I think it would be hilarious if she read Catherine Beeche...

Re: KS is now socially acceptable
Um... not sure whether this thread was meant seriously or satirically, but since this is an international forum, and some Onion stories have been picked up and mistaken for genuine news by overseas press, I feel the need to comment that the Onion is a PARODY news site. It is all humor, not real.

Re: Literary Tastes
Deimos and I once had a discussion on whether or not Shizune was a fan of Ayn Rand... Let's not resurrect that here, please, as any discussion of her books runs the terrible risk of becoming a flame war or otherwise derailing the thread due to the extreme controversy regarding objectivism . I'm not...

Re: Characters' musical tastes?
In other news, I found the perfect training song for Miki, our other track and field athlete. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifcL5pPVPGY A question: Do you think that any of the gals might go for Rammstein? Of all of them, I think Shizune would be the most likely to go for metal... if she...

Here's a short list of artists that I think Rin would get into:
Animal Collective
Merzbow
Frank Zappa
Flaming Lips
The Grateful Dead
They Might Be Giants
The Residents
Phish

Literary Tastes
I just did a quick search for the phrase I'm using to title this thread, and since nothing came up, I'll assume that it hasn't been its own discussion yet. Basically, I want to know what you think the different characters prefer to read. As is standard for such threads, I'll start. I’m going to go i...

Re: Awesome Idea... Know it's Not Likely Going to Happen, Th
You guys do remember that I said in the OP that I'm not expecting this to be in KS, right? Not unless the Devs had the idea a long, long time ago. And I'm most certainly NOT asking them to do any extra work if it's not in there. I just think it'd be cool if some future VN had this as an unlockable o...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 v5 released!
I wish I knew more of either Welsh or Gaelic than I do. Not exactly the most necessary languages for translation since most if not all of the people who speak them know English as well, but it'd be pretty cool to do nonetheless.

Re: Katawa Viruses
i think.... no... no... maybe a Risk reference? Well, the OP has you pretty well-covered there. Shizune: The Shizune virus is very agressive attacking vital areas of infected systems and seeking to take over. Extremly difficult to remove once it has infected a system. It has a crious habit of disab...
