Re: Secret Santa 2001: A Santa Odyssey

I find the Crippled Rangers far more hilarious than I probably should.

Anyone guess this.
Nice try, Aapo, but that's definitely a quote from Gurren Lagann. Said when Kamina dies.

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?

Personally, i simply can't wait for the ''My spaceship is full of eels'' talk when Hisao 'learns' sign language. Shizune: (Hisao, what time is it?) Hisao: (It's half raw chicken on pedestal.) *Shizune death glare* Bahahaha, now I can't wait for something like that too. Her hair and laughter styles ...

Re: Favorite girl.

I suppose you're correct. Thinking about it now, Hisao himself got a lot of Shizune's analytical stares and he himself remarks about Hanako's reaction to "Shizune being her normal self" or something like that. Shizune's very strong-willed and always seems to want to gauge the determination...

Re: Favorite girl.

I apologize; that distinction has been screwing with my head since the third grade. I learned it like this: the symbol is like a hungry alligator; it has its mouth towards the bigger meal—whatever is 'greater'. I had some pretty cool teachers for math. :) Ditto. It's probably the only reason I stil...

Re: Voices of the girls as you imagine them

Being a heretical dub watcher, I'm now going to imagine HIsao's voice as Kyon's dub voice actor. Which, coincidentally, is also Lawrence of Spice and Wolf's dub voice actor, thus tying into the Hisao-Shizune/Lawrence-Holo comparisons I was making in another thread.

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?

I was just thinking that in the place of Shizune's "..."s it'd be something like "<I'm subverting the Tsundere archetype, Hisao!>" with the <> to designate that it's a translation. No telling how or if they'll do it, though.

Re: Favorite girl.

Judging by the amount of Hanako lovers here, not in the slightest. Heck, while I'm a major Shizune fanboy, I gotta admit Hanako is just so freaking adorable. Her shyness is part of what makes her desirable. Good. Still, i wonder why her scars don't bother me even a little bit? I mean, i remember wh...

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?

Bah. It's terribly difficult sometimes to figure out who's saying what with those two. I hope Hisao learns sign language quickly so he can translate Shizune's "..."s.

Regardless of who said it, I found the quote amusing.

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?

Misha (translating for Shizune): "Junk food is the essence of celebrations!" That line is not Misha translating for Shizune - it is a Misha original: Mutou "...Please keep the meaning of this festival in your minds…" Misha "Games and fried food!" No, what I quoted was ...

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?

Misha (translating for Shizune): "You're right, the difference between us is like heaven and hell." Lilly: "And it's not hard to guess which one you might represent." Misha: "Shicchan admires your fighting spirit and would be a benevolent dictator who would spare your people...

Wow, this sounds pretty cool. I'm looking forward to some nice fanart (*cough*HopefullyShizune*cough*). I'm actually rather excited.
