Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
2. I have noticed "HebrewLilly" uses many expressions with "God" in them. Perhaps too many. I think I might have accidentally made her religious. Well, I have heard that Lilly is Catholic so it would make sense in that case. However, Catholicism forbids the use of God's name in ...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
More scenes, notes, etc. 1. Instead of Kanji's story threatening to "Blow your mind", it threatens to "Knock you off your feet". Not exactly the same feeling, but close. 2. I have noticed "HebrewLilly" uses many expressions with "God" in them. Perhaps too many...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
Another scene, more notes for you: 1. Hanako's beanbag has been changed into a pouffe, simply because there is a Hebrew translation for this one. I know that technically there is a difference, but I consider it a minor one. 2. I'm trying to find a better translation to the word "delinquent"...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
Not quite. "No strings attached" means something like "We're not playing FOR anything" or "just for fun". I don't know if you have something like that in Hebrew. I know that, it's just that I don't know any good Hebrew equivalent except for just having her say "We...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
Scene 9 is now finished, and I have more notes for you. 1. Shizune offers to give Hisao a "handicap" in order to make the game easier for him, and he is offended. This is a beautiful part, there, because the word "handicap" also implies disability and crippleness, and thus ties i...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
Fate has conspired to keep me away from my computer this day, thus preventing me from doing much. Fridays are always busy around here. Only managed one scene by now("Smalltalk"), but I'll keep going a little and see how far I can get. Notes for now: 1. First and foremost, I don't know what...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
That's one of the major reasons I really doubt this is ever going to get official. I don't have the resources(will, time and manpower) for a serious translation. I doubt I even really have the skills. I am hardly fluent in English, and believe it or not, I am also hardly fluent in Hebrew. Just a te...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
I think the devs prefer at least 3 people per language - one native speaker fluent in English, one native English fluent in target language, and a proofreader. But they make the rules, they can break them too. That's one of the major reasons I really doubt this is ever going to get official. I don'...

Re: Misha's disabillity?
Misha's disability is that she's a time traveler sent back in time to stop Shizune from taking over the world. She didn't have the heart to kill her so she's influencing her and trying to change her personality. Or something. Bokustatsu Tenshi Misha-chan? o.O She's the Mishanator? I'll be back. WHA...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
Finished with day 1 now(this was way longer than I expected). Thank you again for your help, Mirage. You made things far, far easier for me. Further notes: 1. "the teacher drones". No expression like that in Hebrew, so I make do with "the teacher speaks dryly and boringly". 2. Be...

Re: A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
I don't know about a serious translation. That's a huge responsibility. First I'll see if I can handle this as it is. Thank you very much for all of your advice, though! Misha was driving me nuts, too. I'll try making her speech sound more like Hebrew. It might work.(The Japanese names are still som...

A Not Very Serious Hebrew Translation
It's not like I am a very busy person, you see. And I do like translating things from English to Hebrew. I guess I like the challenge, it makes me feel smart. Sometimes I translate short stories, poems, stuff like that. Nothing serious or official, it's not like it's my job or anything. Just for mys...

Wait, is that Prospagnosia? I heard of that. There was a fascinating interview with a doctor in some paper.

Re: Misha's disabillity?
Hey... what if in every route she has a different disability ? That totally breaks our theories, guys. We have to consider the possibility  Whoa, like a crippled Haruhi Suzumiya, who warps reality itself due to changing circumstances. Then she runs off with the gender-flipped Haruhi -- "...
