Devs are probably saving the Shizune heart confession for when she relies/takes Hisao for granted one time too many and overexerts him into an arrest or something. Hisao learns a lesson about knowing both his limits and the lengths he has to go in order to make sure he isn't pressured into stressing...

I like the idea of Rin and Emi setting up a Boke and Tsukko-whatever routine. Bit cliched, but maybe the Japs see ditziness as stupidity.

In all other endings he thinks of love or at least fondness, but in Emi's hs last thought is "it might be good for my health that she's helping me" While that particular train of thought is somewhat lame on Hisao's part, the basic idea is that it's *gasp* somewhat more realistically paced...
