heart health
For some reason, this article reminded me of Hisao and why he sometimes did what he did: http://www.everydayhealth.com/heart-health/why-you-should-have-more-sex-for-heart-health.aspx?xid=aol_eh-cardio_3_20120206_&aolcat=ESR&icid=maing-grid7|aim|dl13|sec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D133990 Apparently, there's more ...

Re: Would you watch Katawa Shoujo anime?
Here's an idea: make the non-existent Yuuko or Misha routes as the story arc for the anime!
Of course, it may still turn off the fans of the five main girls, but at least no one will be able to gloat that one of them got the spotlight at the expense of the others...

Re: Am I the only one that enjoyed Shizune's route?
The handling of Shizune's route is more of a reflection of the girl herself: less of "the feels" and more of the intellectual nuances.

now I understand why I felt compelled to play the piano again after years of having "quit." Many thanks for the music, kind people!

Re: Is that so?!
Some people aren't used to real tenderness in their erotic content. Porn works by objectifying the act of sex, or focusing on the aspect of pleasure, not the emotional and physical closeness it provides. i dont just mean the H scenes, i dont think ive fapped since i started playing the game... They ...

Re: Poll: How did you play through KS?
I did a mixed approach depending on my mood. I went with the flow when I felt like it and consulted a guide when I wanted to a good outcome.

I must be the deviant on these forums.
Oddly enough, I didn't really cry. I empathized with the characters, I fumed, I cheered, I laughed, but didn't cry. *checks tear ducts*

Re: Did any of these stories particularly hit close to home?
For me, the Hanako and Rin paths kinda hit close to home. I can relate to themes of trauma and recovery, self-expression and establishing one's own identity.

Yes, I would play it. Psych major here, plus I have a "relative" who is bipolar...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously
I agree with the argument that Hanako knew what she was doing. It's likely that someone who knows how to play chess also knows that standing naked in front of a normal, hot-blooded heterosexual male drives all logic and reason from his mind.

Re: Just finished Hanako's route, and well...
That's precisely why I like this route: it has an awkward honesty in almost everything. Take note, the H-scene wasn't the only instance. The scar comparison and the kiss were also honest. Even the games were honest.

Re: General feedback
I understand that different writers handled different scenarios. This is one of KS' greatest strengths; it's also one of the visual novel's greatest weaknesses. On one hand, we get treated to a variety of writing styles that bring out the best in each character. Comedy, drama, and romance make for ...

Re: KS gets into your head...
I think I know why visual novels like this one are so compelling: during a recent activity I attended, I learned that people have 3 basic learning types/preferences: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. The medium appeals to all three by giving you pictures, audio and slight interactivity, making it ...

Re: What is your "True" route?
Hanako's good ending gets my vote. While I haven't experienced being caught in a fire, I've gone through a traumatic experience of my own. The scar comparison and codependency issues made perfect sense to me.
