Re: Fun Facts About the Shimmie
Another fun fact about the Shimmie; Emi and Rin, oddly enough, have no yuri pics ( this doesn't count ) whereas the other four central ladies are...healthily represented. It strikes me as weird in that, despite maximum yuri potential existing since all the girls come in pairs of friends, those two a...

Re: Left-handed...er, left-footed?
Speaking as the older sibling of a skateboarding fanatic who never passes up a chance to talk to his family about his hobby, yes, people do have a dominant foot. Skateboarders refer to the left-footed as "goofy-footed", IIRC.

Re: Katawa Haha
I'm gonna take a little break from Katawa Haha. DO NOT PANIC. Sit the hell down. Relax. You breathing steady now? Good. I've tried to bring myself to write more KH recently, and it's feeling mighty forced. This has happened to me before. It's usually my mind's way of telling me to move to a differen...

Re: In Which I have been reading too much Raymond Chandler
As they say in the vernacular, fuckin' A. I do look forward to its completion. That said, there's an error in the thread title. There is no such thing as reading too much Raymond Chandler. (Hell, if you ask me there is no such thing as reading enough Raymond Chandler. Raymond Chandler to a mystery n...

Re: a bit on deafness being mute and sign language
I read up a little on JSL and the Wikipedia page indicates some complications for the portrayal of our dear Student Council President. First off is mouthing. After training in language instruction I understand the difficulty synonyms can cause, and after studying Japanese I definitely can understand...

Katawa Haha: Rin’s Chapter Page One First Panel : We’re looking at two third-grade children from behind their heads as they enter the receiving area of a Japanese suburban home. One is Rin’s son Ken. He’s a short boy with very short hair, in a T-shirt and shorts. He’s just finished taking off his s...

Re: Katawa Haha
To be quite honest... I have no clue what you should go with. The reason being that I'm currently the visuals (yes incase anyone else wants to add art to these stories, I won't be the "I DON'T SHARE THE GLORY DAMNIT" artist here. :3), you are the brains. I'm the brains? This projec...

Re: Katawa Haha
UPDATE: Halfway through the third page of the Emi chapter. Wanted to talk a bit about ages; of both the children and the mothers. Are there any thoughts or comments on the portrayal of the KS girls as older? Shizune and Emi are not only the extremes of mood in their chapters, they're also the extrem...

Re: Katawa Haha
HAY GUYZ I'M STILL ALIVE. Update: the personal thing that I was working on is now one chapter more complete (yes, I've been seeing other writing projects. It's not you, KH, it's me). So now I can justify starting on the Rin chapter. I'll see if I can't have that up by this coming weekend, but no gua...

Re: Katawa Haha
I LIEK. Thank you, El Jay. I was looking forward to this. Praise I really like the strip, and there are several things that stand out. The panel layout is spot-on. As you might have noticed from my comments, this was one of my bigger concerns (bad layout can ruin a comment) and you've handled it mas...

Re: Katawa Haha
To be honest, I really didn't expect this project to be nearly this popular before any illustrations. Jeeze, you throw up a few crappy scripts and all of a sudden the thread becomes a habitat of the wild moar boar . I still consider these chapters lacking without the visual component. Hopefully some...
