Re: Broken Hearts Club
I'll reply to this slightly out of sequence: It is indeed a choise of perpetual moderate hurt, but it's manageable, I don't think I'd handle a sharp big hurt very well the way I am right now. So it's perhaps not really my choise, but at this point, it feels like the smartest thing to do. This is ...

Re: "I only step on the darker ones..." (Hanako's floor game
Yeah, I understand what you're saying, and I believe you, but in my case, when I had that break up, I was very depressed and lonely. I wasn't really looking for company, but all of my friends knew what happened, but afterwards, I realised, not a single one of the came over, or even send me a text ...

Yeah, it is. You howled at the moon, and we howled right back at ya.dunkelfalke wrote:Actually I am already happy that I've found some people whom I can talk to over the internet, that is quite an achievement for me in my current situation.

Re: "I only step on the darker ones..." (Hanako's floor game
That's interesting; sounds a bit like what happened with me. Though, in my case, I was the one that left all my "friends" behind. As I've said before, the term "friend" is thrown around far too loosely these days. People you surround yourself with simply to be in the company of others and laugh ...

Dem feels, man. Both people with similar emotional issues and physical handicaps as the game's characters show up here - shows that the writes took their research at least a bit seriously. Glad to hear you like your work, dunkelfalke. Being able to work with something you love and is good at is ...

Re: "I only step on the darker ones..." (Hanako's floor game
You get jealous of dogs, they howl to the moon and it seems to help. They're howling to communicate with other dogs though, right? So I guess you could see it as their Internet or watering post. They might be simpler creatures than us, but they're social beings too. It is just there, after many ...

Re: Lilly's Route
Well, I thought I had to keep myself from dying if I was going to end up with any girls - that's why I ended up on the Emi path as my first one, because I thought exercising with her was a prerequisite to keeping alive.

Re: Lilly's Route
I don't think it would have worked to have Hisao run after her and just fail to get Lily - he'd have to be killed off or something. You could have a Bad: Ooops he tried running but died because he exercised too little. Neutral: Welp, guess long-distance relationship won't work. Well, it was nice ...

Re: Valid points that I do not understand
I didn't necessarily mean that people are definitely in one box or the other, but I thought that list might help show that there's different perspectives, not just the "either you're a pervert or you're not".

Re: Would you live your life mute & deaf or blind?
I'd much rather be blind. Being blind would make it much harder to interact with the physical world of stairs and rocks and cars, sure. But being deaf & mute would make it harder to interact with people . Same here. I assume we're talking about being both mute and deaf though. If I was deaf, but ...

Re: Valid points that I do not understand
Whoever faps to this. Is THE definition of perversion. On so many levels. Some people can't fap to something they feel emotionally involved in; they need to be detached. But some other people are more turned on by a person/character they feel an emotional connection with, something akin to the ...

Re: "I only step on the darker ones..." (Hanako's floor game
Huh. So I'm not alone. No wait, I still am, but. Well you get it, haha. With further consideration, the practice does seem to be the type of thing that only pitiably lonely children find on their own, when all the others are busy playing with their friends. Whether it's pitiable depends on context ...

Doesn't step five of a twelve-step program involve seeking forgiveness from people you've wronged?
