Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Welp, bought myself a shiny new GTX 660 the other day, figured I'd try some folding on it. Turns out only people who've been approved for their beta program can fold on them for the time being . Quite annoyed at that. Still, got the old i5 chugging away doing some work.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
2400 a day isn't terrible I guess, certainly better than the single core performance by a mile. Still, got enough machines running in this room of a night, last thing I need is a PS3 humming away as well, belching out heat even if it is for science. Oh, so you hate orphans? I bet you even torture ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
I'd try but I doubt I'll even breach the top 10 anytime soon. I can pull 10-20k a day if I really try but even then it'd be a couple of years to match your current score :( . Maybe running my PS3 24/7 could provide me with a wee boost... and I have a media PC downstairs that might be worth a couple ...

^ that's me, btw. My stats are at my sig! Yeah, my folding's slow. -.- 500 a days alright, what are you running, the single core client? If you have a dual/quad core you could give the SMP client a go. It'd burn through them at a better pace. Best using the V7 beta client for that: https://fah-web ...

I'm not certain V7 of the client works with FAHmon, the client itself should give you reasonably accurate data though

As long as you use the same details, they should do. I leave my PS3 on sometimes and it seems to countCamoufrage wrote:One more question, will my PS3 stats merge with the PC ones?

Ive just started a few days ago. Running it on my desktop: AMD Phenom II X2 @ 3.0 Ghz NVIDIA GTS 450 And my laptop: Pentium M @ 1.6 Ghz. If you don't mind leaving that laptop on, then go for it but honestly with a processor that weedy I don't think its going to be worthwhile. The PCs fine, mind you.

Re: In a year of so will you still play this game?
I may end up re-reading it in a year or two, if I remember. Even then, only the paths I liked most so thats what, Shizune and Lilly?

Re: UK edition of PC Gamer
Interesting. Notable PC Gamer alumnus John Walker absolutely hated KS when he played it on RockPaperShotgun. RPS is weird around VNs, at best. They sang the praises oh "Don't take it personally, babe" which I found to be pretty mediocre (Pisspoor art, very forced message at the end). Great site ...

Its very short and very linear (As in no choices) but I have a soft spot for Narcissu - http://narcissu.insani.org/ - only takes 3-4 hours to run through, tops. Free, too.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
I'm curious, whats this about? Can someone explain? I went to the website but only got more confused... In a nutshell, it uses your idle processor power to help research various proteins. Current projects involve the likes of Alzheimers and Huntingdons diseases, looking into exactly how they work ...

Re: How Many Times Have You Replayed?
I replayed the odd scene afterwards but not entire routes. I'll probably end up replaying it a year or two down the line, after I've forgotten enough to make it worthwhile again and even then it'll probably only be my favourite routes (i.e Lilly and Hanako, I liked Rins route but I don't think its ...
