Re: Does Rin have Asperger Syndrome?
Update: I asked in the 'ask' thread. Aura said there was no person of direct inspiration for Rin's personality. so I doubt the mental condition is intentional..... Which makes it really creepy that Aura just invented a character that thinks and says stuff so close to the way I do..... Well then, I ...

Re: Does Rin have Asperger Syndrome?
It seems to me that often, Asperger's is one of those things that's only a "disorder" because of other peoples' attitudes and the social environment - it doesn't cause problems in and of itself, the way, say, diabetes does. People with Asperger's are a small minority and most people couldn't care ...

Re: Does Rin have Asperger Syndrome?
At the risk of being pedantic: Rin, being a fictional character, will show whatever mix of characteristics Aura wanted her to. She certainly resembles someone with Asperger's in many ways. I found the scene where she and Hisao are talking in the art room, right after Nomiya chews her out, quite ...

Re: nomiya
He didn't strike me as creepy, just kind of weird and different. Until the show, when he started to reveal what an asshole he is, and then his last scene, where he firmly establishes that yes, he's a total asshole. I'm really pleased that Rin had grown enough that she was able to stand up to him ...

Re: Discussion - Emi Route (*Spoilers* Warning)
(Sorry if I'm repeating things, it's up to 16 pages and I don't have time.) Great storyline, even more wrenching than the Lilly and Hanako ones . She seems so superficial and carefree at first, unrealistically casual about sex, and you gradually realize what terrible pain she's in, and that all her ...

Re: The "thank you 4LS" thread.
Helped lift me out of a long spell of mild but persistent depression. A lot of the writing and music, and all of the art, is simply magnificent. Thank you all.

Re: Other Media that gave you "The Feels."
Things that always move me to tears, no matter how many times I read or watch them: "The Man Who Lost the Sea" by Theodore Sturgeon. "Can These Bones Live?" by Ted Reynolds. The ending of Episode 10 of R.O.D the TV . And Episode 9, when Alice dies. Hell, that was enough to move Drake to tears ...

Re: Question about Act 4 Hanako, possible glitch or....
Ok, I just got it. You kind have to play the long con here. A word of caution, this ending is harsh. If you want to feel like a terrible person, then go ahead. If you happen to not have a soul, you should be fine. Make sure to make the following mistakes. Hanako, what do you think Deny it Call it a ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Soundtrack Up for Download
There can't be a lossless version because I never made lossless versions, and I lost the project files so I can't ever make lossless versions. Personally I don't care much about things like bitrate, but I understand some people do. You're welcome to complain about the bitrate of my free soundtrack ...

Shizune vs. Lilly
Don't know if you'll be willing to answer this, but: in the full game, will there be an opportunity to find out just why Shizune dislikes Lilly so much?

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
Yeah, it makes sense for Misha's interpretation to be confusing. No doubt a professional interpreter can keep things straight, and professionals don't usually join in the conversation, I think. But Misha's not a professional. She's a high school kid, and kind of a ditz too, and she's constantly ...

Was just wondering, wherever did you get that horrid "crunch" sound effect that ends the "Kenji" scenario? Sounds ghastly....

Couple more typos
"Mind Your Step": Hisao: I have a pretty... I guess the best way to put it would be messed-up... heart. Arrythmia.
"Smalltalk": The teacher clears his throat very loudly, batting his long wooden pointer agaist his other palm like a baton. He shoots a pointed gaze at us.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
Lilly probably doesn't actually have too many outfits. Being blind, I would think it would be hard to differentiate between them, so, again, just wearing the uniform is easy. The comment on the blindness is just how I think it would be. No idea if its actually that way for blind people. Well, on ...
